Any bans or warnings?

It's all based on activity and trust. Were you previously banned or warned?

That's strange, I haven't been banned or warned as far as I know and the Heroic in my member title went away. Oh well, I'm sure it will be back.

You are probably not active that much, I suggest you try to post more than once a day and make sure your post are good quality post.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Um, just wondering: Why is Absent considered the highest rank? At least from Duardo's post. Shouldn't it be below Honorable or something?

He doesn't have it sorted, it's just randomly typed in there. I would hope he organizes it, but it ultimately doesn't matter.

I agree with it as well. Except for the thread locked and reported thing. I've been reported so many times because of my different opinion. I've also had one of my threads locked because people started flaming instead of discussing. It wasn't locked solely because of me, but people ranting in that thread.

You might have read my original theory from the OP about "Trust Points.". I missed a few key points and I have decided to update it a bit.

A great bit of my reasoning comes from reading ***Trust is calculated daily, which could be a reason as to why member's titles change.

Trust Points
A members title is based off of a semi-automated system as told by Achronos. From this information, I believe a new member to Bungie.net starts with 0 / 2250 Member Points. In order to rank up on the public forums, you must earn "Trust Points" or TPs. Trust Points are positive points added to a persons total Member Points for activity and good behavior. Trust Points are also automated, trust points are issued daily. Their are certain criteria you must stay within in order to receive TPs. Here is a list of how I believe TPs are issued:
One day of activity/logging in -- +5 TPs
One post -- +0.1 TPs
One month of good behavior(no bans or warnings) -- +50-75 TPs
One month of report-free posts/threads -- +15-20 TPs
Statistics

Following this chart, I would say the average member is active about 4 days a week. So a year of activity/logging in 4 times a week gives you about 1040 TPs.

I would say the average member posts about 10-25 times a day.
So posting 15 times a day, 4 days a week for a year gives you about 312 TPs.

A full year, or twelve months, of good behavior would give you about 780 TPs.

A full year, or twelve months, of report free posts/thread would give you about 240 TPs.

According to all of this information, if you followed as I listed above you would have about 2400 TPs at the end of the year. Here is my predictions of how much TP you need for each title:
Member -- 0 - 2249 Member Points
Heroic Member -- 2250 - 4499 Member Points
Legendary Member -- 4500 - 6749 Member Points
Mythic Member -- 6750 + Member Points
The point range for title are constantly changing according to Achronos --This isn't hard to understand: the number that underlies the title is relative to the rest of the userbase. As in, your title is determined by what your score is in relation to the person with the highest score for that day. So... if the maximum score goes up further than you go up in the same time period (even if you didn't do anything wrong like get a warning or ban), you can easily lose your title.

On average, "Heroic Member" takes anywhere from half a year to a year to reach.

"Legendary Member" takes anywhere from a year and a half to 2 years to reach..

Mythic Member" takes anywhere from 2 and a half to 4 years to reach.

These time-spans coordinates with the required TP chart above.

Modify Points
So after the system of Trust Points I just went over, the other half of the system that is user-controlled by the administrators is based on "Modify Points" or "MPs". MPs are points manually added to a members Member Points count and count as negative points torwards your total Member Points count. Say you have 1000 TPs and you get a three day ban and an administrator subtracts 100 MPs and brings your total down to 900 TPs. When you are banned, warned, or an issue with one of your posts/threads comes up, your Member Points count is penalized by MPs. Here is some of my thoughts on how MPs work:
Thread locked/deleted -- +25 MPs (-25 Member Points)
Warning -- +100 MPs (-100 Member Points)
3-6 day ban -- +200 MPs (-200 Member Points)
7-13 day ban -- +400 MPs (-400 Member Points)
14-29 day ban -- +600 MPs (-600 Member Points)
30-59 day ban -- +800 MPs (-800 Member Points)
60-89 day ban -- +1000 MPs (-1000 Member Points)
90+ day ban -- +1500 MPs (-1500 Member Points)

1 week of inactivity -- +50 MPs (-50 Member Points)
1 month of inactivity -- +250 MPs (-250 Member Points)
MPs have a much stronger effect on your total Member Point count so they should be avoided if you are wanting to rank up to a higher title.

Also, as stated by Achronos, there is a certain total of members that can hold a certain title. Say the title of "Mythic Member" is full and you have enough Member Points to be a "Mythic Member", but you are still "Legendary". You will have to wait for a member with the higher title to drop down a rank for you to go up.

I would agree with most of your cases, however, if someone simply "reports" you just because they disagree with your opinion, you would be subtracted these "Trust Points" for no good reason.

Actually, I believe they are organized, by priority. The one with the higher number takes priority over others when a user qualifies for multiple prefixes. Absent is the highest so that it will take priority over what ever other title you may have if you actually go absent.

My question is: who "ranks" you up?

Its not "who". Its "what".

The time you are active, the amount of posts you have, and the amount of times you have been banned/warned, all affect your rank.

It is an automated system. Your trust rating is based on some very complex math, which is then translated into a base title. Prefixes are a little simpler. For those, you just have to meet the requirements and you get the prefix, automatically.

Wow, you're such an idiot. Trust a Fulham supporter to not know such simple facts.

How else do you think the Xbox 360 could be the fine piece of machinery that it is?

The entire system ranks as a leaderboard. Basically, your member title is based on where you are. The top couple hundred members are mythic. The next 1500 hundred are legendary and so on.

No no no, you got it all wrong. The titles are not ranks. They are not something to attain so as to be better than other members. They are just reflections of what kind of member you are. An Exalted Mythic Member is no better than a Member that joined yesterday.

Your title is no longer decided in comparison to anyone else's trust.

I've always wondered how I don't qualify for Intrepid, I think I'm not active enough in Groups.
