Well, define, "active" for you. Do you sign in everyday? Do you post everyday? Do you participate in groups? Do you post in almost every forum? Those small factors contribute towards some activity.

I have been active for two and a half years. I had one minor ban in my first few months and I'm still only a member.

I have been active for two and a half years. I had one minor ban in my first few months and I'm still only a member.

I post multiple times a day, (minimum of 5) probably five to six days a week. I post mainly in The Flood but sometimes in the Halo Reach forum. I don't participate in groups.

I can remember being a Heroic member summer of 2008. I logged in the next day and it was magically gone. This angered me so I left for a few months (two at the most). I got my first and only 3-day ban soon after my return for insulting someone. That's about it.

Been ranked as a Member for almost two years, and been on the forums for around two and a half.

Who said I was posting to gain Member ranks? Is it odd that I would question why I haven't ranked up in over two years of activity? It's something I recently noticed, and I asked about it.

I've always wondered how I don't qualify for Intrepid, I think I'm not active enough in Groups.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to be active in groups in order to move up a slot. I'm not active in any groups and I up-slotted recently.

  • 07.24.2010 10:51 PM PDT

Intrepid requires a user to get a high post count. I went up to intrepid around a year of membership and I believe I had anywhere between 10,000-12,000 posts. I acquired Fabled two months after that. I guess you have to post a lot in the public forums on B.net.

First off, we don't even know for a fact that post count is all that matters. Groups definitely help factor into it, or so most people think.
Second off, we only have a rough estimate of our post count, you most likely had a lot less than 10,000. I may be wrong, but nothing discussed in this Thread is fact.

The fact that you rage-quit Bnet after loosing a title shows that you lack the maturity required of a member with a higher title. This lack of maturity was probably prevalent in your other posts. But this is just a guess.

  • 07.25.2010 7:21 AM PDT

You should never rage quit after you loose a title just start again.

I think the Bungie.net system, is one of the deepest forum systems I have seen around.

Bungie provide great diversity not seen on most sites where there is one level system.

Nice work Bungie, hoping for more Bungie.net updates when reach comes out.

First off, we don't even know for a fact that post count is all that matters.

I simply assumed it was post count due to its requirements set in the OP. Of course, staying out of trouble helps.

Groups definitely help factor into it, or so most people think.
I never said they did not help. Being active in groups counts is another way to be active on B.net.

Second off, we only have a rough estimate of our post count, you most likely had a lot less than 10,000.
I simply went by that because someone told me that as an estimate in one of my earlier posts in the thread.

I may be wrong, but nothing discussed in this Thread is fact.

Of course. It's all speculation on how the system actually works.

Intrepid and Fabled aren't tethered to trust points or ban history.

Post count has gotta be the requirement. What it is, I don't know for sure.

I have been an active member for almost 12 months, so why am I not a Heroic Member? Do I need to fulfill some other requirements?

I have never been banned or received a warning as far as I am aware.

Post count has gotta be the requirement. What it is, I don't know for sure.

It's sorta obvious the it relates to post count, but the real question is: Does it require X amount of posts in public Forums, and another amount of posts in Groups?

Example: Intrepid requirements:
-10,000 posts (Public)
-1,000 posts (Private)

Right, because "rage-quitting", over two years ago reflects my current level of maturity. Brilliant theory you have there.

Insulting? I was pointing out the flaws in your theory. Perhaps you're being a bit to sensitive.

Well you did over simplify what I was trying to say. I never directly stated what you claimed that I did. And you didn't have to add the condescending comment.

Well what were you trying to say? If I understand it correctly, you were trying to say that I lack the maturity to be a high ranking Bnet user, despite the fact that this happened years ago. You also tossed in a low blow by saying I "rage-quit", which had nothing to do with situation. If anyone is being insulting, it's you.

Ok why are we bickering about this? This wasn't meant to be an argument. You don't have to dislike the guy on the other side of the discussion.

Spin it however you like, this:Posted by: I am Fearless I
I can remember being a Heroic member summer of 2008. I logged in the next day and it was magically gone. This angered me so I left for a few months (two at the most).
sounds like a rage-quit to me.

I never said anything about a time frame. I was just illustrating that a type of behavior will affect your title.

Also, seriously. 'No you?' Come on...

I don't come on to these forums to fight with people. I posted a question, you responded with an aggressive attitude.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I haven't been banned in over two years and I'm not going to ruin that because of you.

Perhaps in the future you could be a little less hostile towards people and a little more helpful.
