Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles / Prefixes / Bar Colors

Maybe because it's the hardest to maintain. Once you are the least bit active after obtaining the absent prefix you'll lose the title.

Absent is the highest although I have no idea why.. I think it should be the least but there we go!

It's the highest on the priority list because once the user reaches 2 months of inactivity it automatically overrides every other prefix. It's not a matter of achievability, it's a matter of priority.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Months of regular posting, probably.

Avoid getting banned or warned, then.

that account hasn't been banned/warned in years. I'm discussing that one, did you read the whole message from that account? >.>

Yes, I did. If you have not yet been banned/warned on that account, you'd be a Noble member by now. So either A: You forgot a ban you've received on that account, or B: The title system is being weird, again.

"The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainly in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and callas that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity."-Carlos Castaneda

According to this article, Shouldn't I be a heroic member? I created this account in Nov 08'. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here.

Side note- I've never been banned either?

Well, are you active? This could be one reason why you are not your title yet, also if you have revived a Ban/warning.

Well, I've never received a ban nor a warning. I'm not the most active member but to my knowledge I've never been absent except maybe once, about late December 08'- early Jan 09'? is there any way I can tell if I've been absent?

  • 08.03.2010 8:26 PM PDT

Well to get the titles you need to be an active member, posting at least every few days. That would increase your trust which, in the end, will get you titles.

If you have ever been Absent, you probably won't be going up any time soon. Also, you only have 2 pages of replies to topics on the public forums, so don't expect to be going up too soon at all.

And hey, you joined the day before I did!

Well that's cool! Yeah I wa nevuch for the forum, I would always check my stats and read the blogs and stuff tho, but I guess that's not considered vein active. Yeah my console RRoD like a month after I joined and it was a while before I got a new one. Oh well. You have an idea of how many posts I'll need? Roughly. So my title will change?

This system is ridiculous. I'm an Elder Mythic Member and I don't have the blue bar.

*facepalm* Great name though.

I'm surprised I came back as a Legendary member. I left as a Heroic before basic and posted once and found out I got my Legendary back.

I have seen people post on the forums for 2 days and get Heroic Member, yet there are people who post for years without ever getting a title.

I highly doubt that someone got Heroic after 2 days.

Well, instead of speculating how it works. Like people who have never seen a computer before in their life. How about we just ask the person who made the system.

I know the reason why. People would try to abuse the system.

Exactly. Some people would post for the sake of titles.

Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles

"O.K. After reading through this topic I have a few questions (none of which are too revealing).

I figure posting helps increase trust, I figure the length of posts cant count as people could merely quote to obtain large posts. Signing in also apparently increases trust. Being banned decreases trust.

- Is there anything else you could comfortably tell me that will increase trust (nothing too revealing) like people saving your thread etc?

- For someone to be promoted, does someone have to be demoted?

- I have my profile set to stay signed in, does this affect trust?

- Is the maximum trust 25500?

- And finally, what is my trust rating?

Thanks in advance if you get the chance to respond, I understand you are a busy man,

Cheers, Mythic"

Just sent this PM to Achronos. I wonder if he will answer those...
