Still, this is too complex of a system for a website that isn't going to hold up forever...

I don't see why it wouldn't hold up forever. It is fairly simple, it just seems complex because we don't know the intricacies of how it works.

I'll show the title system who's boss. I'll be back to Legendary within a month. Anyone think it's not possible?

I don't think it's too complex, I think it's perfect. And this site will endure...

As for what I think influences trust:
+ Posting (not length because of quoting)
+ Number of times your post is quoted (not a contradiction)
+ Threads and replies to the thread
+ Number of times your thread is saved
+ Private groups (but significantly less than the main forums)
+ Signing in
+ Linking GT

As for what decreases it:
- Bans
- Warnings
- Unlinking GT
- Getting banned from private groups
- POSSIBLY A SMALL DECREASE if your post is reported

Sources: common sense and an anecdotal evidence

Halo 3: Lone Wolves - 44
Team Slayer - 38
Team Doubles - 46
Team Snipers - 25
MLG - 20
Team SWAT - 28
Halo: Reach: Brigadier Grade 2 - 73% Armory Completion

My two-year anniversary with Bungie is the same day that Reach is released. I feel that I deserve some special title for this momentous occasion. I'm serious. ;)

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Try posting more, you have the Honorable prefix so you haven't been banned and if it's coming up to 2 years then you should be able to get a title.

Post count matters just as much as time served and not getting banned, post more.

I actually was EXP banned for a bit. I think you mean forum banned though. Not so proud of the ban, though.

I try to post a good amount. Whatever interests me gets a post from me usually.

Stay active, don't get banned, be here for a while.

What's so complex about that?

Hard is good.

Getting banned from private groups shouldn't affect your trust. Bungie didn't pick whoever has the power there so they shouldn't have control over your amount of trust.

Plus I got permabanned for a couple minutes the other day for lulz in a big group. Haven't gone heroic.... yet. If i do a certain aged mexican dish might have an apology to make.

You don't kick a man when they're down, so don't teabag me when I'm dead!

Just a side note:
I've had probably >10 bans since I've been here (none longer than 2 weeks though, and the majority were 7 day bans), and a few warnings too.
Yet I'm now a Heroic member, despite this, because I haven't been banned in at least 2 or 3 months.
So however complicated the system is, it seems to work well

Well Heroic is a small tile compared to Legendary and Mythic, so even if you got your Heroic back its going to take you forever to get a legendary/Mythic title.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

It's been nearly 2 months since I got warned, my activity hasn't gone down at all, and I'm still a Heroic member.

I don't know if this has been posted but not logging in for a while lowers your trust. I've gone a week or more without logging in was lowered to a legendary. I also hardly posted at all in the mains until recently. It was all in chapters so I am not sure that actually posting in the mains makes much of a difference. I have a friend who logs in to BNet frequently, never posts in the mains and only posts a couple times a week in a chapter and stays blue.

Wait do you mean like posting, or just straight up not going on Bungie.net/logging in?

Not logging in to BNet at all for a week, I was on vacation with no internet access. I resumed my normal daily checking in, posting in a couple groups and still no main forum activity and went back to mythic after a little while.

Not logging in = no activity. No activity = lowered trust (amirite?). Additionally, there's a limit to the amount of blues there can be at one time so someone probably took your place whilst you were Legendary. About your friend: his/her account may be older than yours and he/she may have less bans and warnings than you. Your friend may also have a "settled" spot as a Mythic and therefore a hiatus from the mains may not affect your friend much. It's also worth noting that private group activity could possibly count towards our trust ratings in a small amount and so does simply logging in.

Someone, correct me if I'm wrong about any of this. I'm still trying to get a better understanding of this system.

Well my account is older and I have a higher PPD. We'll see :)

I'm being optimistic. If worse comes to worse I'll pay Achro under the table to boost my trust
