This was very interesting! I was reading a post in this thread yesterday about signing in every day and not leaving your self on automatic sign in. Well I have been trying to get my Legendary for like 6th moths now and I signed myself out last night, and I was legendary in the morning!
Well then, there might very well be a trust rating boost for those who don't save their log-in information like I was guessing after all. Interesting. :)

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I decided no to for last night- today, and I sign out whenever I go off the computer. I wonder how much longer of doing that it would take to have a shot at getting my Legendary back.

Well, that sucks for me. I've always saved my Email and Password, because I'm lazy. I guess I should stop doing that too, just in case.

Now, I wonder if it's calculated once per day or if multiple sign-ins give multiple boosts per day... I suspect it's only for the first sign-in each day.

Does anyone know if there's more of a trust boost for longer, more thought out posts?

I doubt it, I usually never have long posts and I managed to get Legendary rather quickly, I think it's all based around activity.

Achronos said a while back that post quality was accounted for in some way. So longer posts might have an effect. People seem to think that post quality couldn't be measured by length because if someone quoted a long post, the system would think that person had made a long post. But perhaps it somehow doesn't count anything in quote boxes?

I have a question about the relative time frame for Honorable and Heroic titles.

Estimated time frames:
Heroic - 6-12 months
Honorable - 1 year

So based on this, wouldn't it seem that Heroic would be reached first, not Honorable?

I'm not complaining, just curious. I don't necessarily care about the titles. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was cool to see the Honorable next to my name, but otherwise I'm not that worried about it, just intrigued.

It seems like most Honorable Members join then become inactive for a few months, by the time they come back and start posting they end up reaching Honorable first. That's exactly how it worked for me as well.

Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

yea I think so,but if you get banned it slows down the system.

Makes sense. I guess that's from all the lurking I did.

So, we've confirmed that you can, in a way (I'm not saying this should be done or even works completely) you can boost your account by logging in and out multiple times a day? What exactly does logging in contribute to? Trust rating? How exactly does logging in increase/decrease your rank?

For example, my friend went on a week long vacation, didn't log in once, and lost his Legendary. However, he's been back a full day now, probably logged in a few times, and has regained it. Maybe it plays into the overall scheme of things when determining what rank your account will achieve based on account length and log-in times?

If I had one wish for Bungie.net, it would be to be able to change my username. Even if it cost me Microsoft Fun-Money, Space Bucks, or Stosh Dollars. That is all.

Maybe grammar and spelling effects the trust of your post in some way too? It would certainly make sense if it did.

But Bungie does have a spell checker on the website, as evidenced a few weeks ago. Perhaps it's used for more than we think it is?

Think about it. It would make sense if the system rewarded users more for thinking out their post and using grammar. One reason for this would be it's easier on the eyes, and another reason would be that it would encourage people to write, for the most part, grammatically correct. It would decrease the number of threads where you see absolutely no full stops, or "you," replaced with "u." It's much harder to read a long post void of grammar as appose to one where grammar is used on a frequent basis. For me, anyway.

Bungie's mind is an enigma. Honestly. I've been bouncing back and forth from mythic/legendary for a week now.

Thinking about what I've done, the spellchecker having to do with makes sense. As do posts that encourage discussion, or are easy to read. (ie: No wall)

I'll think you'll find you're on the border of legendary and mythic. I'm sure your title will settle down soon enough. I wouldn't really know though.

Well I was Mythic for a year or so and then dropped to legendary, as far as I can tell after a... hasty post. heh. So now trying to get it back and bouncing and such.
