Still a Fabled Member on this account. Very odd.

Has there ever been a discussion about linked accounts getting separate titles? For example, if one account has a title, will other accounts NOT get a title, or is each on it's own system? Probably a stupid ass question, but whatever.

You mean if you have multiple accounts on one computer? Trust on one account has nothing to do with trust on another, even if it's on the same computer.
What about if one member on the computer is banned? If the second person (who for arguments sake was a Heroic Member) signs in, surely they [the Heroic Member] would lose their title, despite the fact that they had committed no offence (apart from being related to a delinquent)?

That is correct. Account A gets banned, as do Account B, Account C, so on and so forth. If your whole family is on Bungie.net (with shared accounts (i.e. same computer)), and one of you gets banned, then all of you get banned.

Two things:
Would accounts B and C lose their title if they signed in?

Would they lose it after the ban had expired? - i.e. would the 'bad trust factor' from the ban on account A cause B and C to lose their titles?

Member A and Member B are on the same computer. If Member A gets banned, and Member B signs in while the ban is still in effect, then B gets a ban for attempting to avoid a ban. I'm not sure how long it is, it probably varies depending on the length of Member A's ban. If Member A gets a ban for one week, and then at some point after the week is up, Member B signs in, nothing happens to Member B.

OK, cheers. My friend occasionally uses my computer. He's a Heroic member and wanted to know if my history could affect him.

How to spell "space"?

S-P-ACE! SPACE!

Aw shucks, lost my Heroic status.

Anyone know what percentage of active members are in possession of which statuses? That would be an interesting fact if I could find out... As if.

I don't know any percentages, but it's been said that roughly 200 Members are Mythic, roughly a couple thousand are Legendary, and roughly ten thousand are Heroic at any one time. That's the best you'll get, I'm afraid.

Also, have you been banned/warned recently? If not, you should be able to regain your title pretty easily by just posting a little bit more for a little while.

Stay active! That's the biggest determining factor in staying a rank (besides getting banned of course). To stay active:
- You could sign in each day, even if you don't post it still increases your trust
- Post!
- Link your GT if you haven't already

Avoid:
- Getting banned/warned
- Inactivity

I'm sure if you're flitting between Heroic and member all you will need to do is sign in each day (if you were going onto the web etc.) and if you have time: post.

Hope I helped.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Just wondering one thing. It says Exalted is the highest attainable prefix. But I remember seeing one Exalted Mythic Member turn into a Fabled Mythic Member. Can someone please explain this to me?

Exalted is the best title to have, according to the ranking system that is. The Exalted Mythic Member probably lost his Exalted status because he was warned or banned, therefore going to his second highest possible prefix, which was fabled.

So basically, he didn't get promoted, he got demoted.

Yes you can, it all just depends.

It seems that for some members, after a ban they can go on what I like to call a "prefix probation", where it looks like the system takes some time in trying to calculate which prefixes they now can't qualify for. You don't always get to keep your activity based prefixes after a ban recovery, although I have seen many people do so.

I have seen that happen before, too. I'm sure all prefix's are based on trust to a certain degree. That may be why there seems to be a period where it can be lost. Although, that said, the other day I saw someone go from Fabled Legendary to Fabled member after they had been banned. There was no 'probation' for him/her.

My bad. I've never actually noticed this happen before, though.

I figured I would get something back, either Fabled or Heroic/Legendary at the end of the ban. Neither as of yet.

I could just borrow your blue bar, JB ;)

I have a question, on 1/20/2011 my account will be 6 years old, does that mean my title will switch from "Exalted Mythic Member" to "Elder Mythic Member" or will it stay exalted because the titles are in a hierarchy and exalted is at the top?

You'll stay Exalted. Only 'Absent' member is higher when it comes to titles. The OP has a list of the hierarchy.

Sadly, you'll stay Exalted. In my opinion, I'd much rather have Elder as my prefix.
