I like 'Fabled'. 'Fabled' just sound so much more... awesome.

I have a question, on 1/20/2011 my account will be 6 years old, does that mean my title will switch from "Exalted Mythic Member" to "Elder Mythic Member" or will it stay exalted because the titles are in a hierarchy and exalted is at the top?

Sadly, you'll stay Exalted. In my opinion, I'd much rather have Elder as my prefix.

Fabled and Elder are my favorites. I'm not even intrepid yet, somehow. I'm not sure if I'll ever be Fabled, because I'll probably get exalted before that. Unless I get banned, but I hope not. :P

I've been trying to get Intrepid. How long did it take you to get Intrepid/Fabled?

  • 08.13.2010 2:23 AM PDT

I've been doing something right, it only took me 2 weeks from heroic to get legendary, albeit I was a bit more active with about 10 posts a day.

Question: I had Honorable status a while back but lost it when I got banned, how long will it take for that title to come back?

Two weeks? Wow. I thought it was short when I got from Heroic to Legendary in a month and a half.

The "Honorable" prefix is given to people who haven't been banned/warned in a year. Since you were banned, you lost it, and so in another year, provided that you don't become an intrepid/fabled member and you don't get banned/warned again, you'll get the Honorable prefix back.

  • 08.13.2010 2:42 AM PDT

='O Got demoted again because of another warning. That God it wasn't a ban. The thing is that it already happened to me before and I got my Heroic Status in like 3 or 4 days after that. I haven't received my title back this time.

I hope someone can answer this question, but i'm an honorable member but my account is a bit over 2 years old? So shouldn't i be a Noble Member? It's been over 2 years without a ban OR warning for me here so i'm just wondering. Sorry though, I haven't logged in a fairy long time...Also, even though i'm late I found this thread quite helpful. Thank you!

Probably Noble Member, but not Legendary that requires about a year of constant activity.

Of picking it up now you're gone
The choosing of guns or fighting with swords
The choice of weapons is done
He'll tear you apart as soon as you start
You know you don't have a chance.

Maybe because you're not even 2 years old yet.

2years+ is mythic

Oh i'm 100% sure that i'm more than 2 years old, you can even look up any account's "Member Since". Also the rankings of Heroic, Legendary and Mythic are meant to show you how long you've been active in the forums and etc...

Gee whiz, great time to get banned. From Fabled Mythic to Member like that. Well, here goes the climb again.
You don't lose your Fabled prefix when you're banned...
Yes you can, it all just depends.

It seems that for some members, after a ban they can go on what I like to call a "prefix probation", where it looks like the system takes some time in trying to calculate which prefixes they now can't qualify for. You don't always get to keep your activity based prefixes after a ban recovery, although I have seen many people do so.

Update: following my 3 day ban, I went from Fabled Mythic member to Fabled Heroic Member.

Unlucky mate. I'm sure you'll achieve Mythic again in no time! ;)

But I would be correct in saying that you will get it back quicker than a regular Heroic Member? I say this because, as I scanned this topic I noticed that users who were a high rank, received a ban and lost their title appear to get it back quicker. Is this due to the bans impact wearing off, restoring their 'trust?'

I've been here a decent amount of time to know you're all crazy

Yeah pretty much

Yep. A member with a title, when they get a ban, still have their positive trust from posting/account age/other factors, it's just that the bans stop them from being a higher title. Once the ban wears off, they're usually right where they were originally.

Why won't it let you link?

I think the whole thing about linking your GT increasing your chances is BS
Yeah, alot of people say it does help trust level, I think Achronos said it somewhere too.

If you've got an Xbox Live account, it will let you link it. At first I had trouble, just don't go to Xbox.com, it doesn't work. (Neither does, "Link your gamertag" at the top right.) What you need to do is to change your email address associated with your Xbox Live account to the one associated with your Bungie.net profile ON your Xbox. Hope this helped!

If you've got further questions, this should help.

Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Cool...so question the differences between the Base Titles and Prefixes. Like for instance if you're a Legendary member is that an active Bungie.net account for that many years or is it activity in the forums versus being lets say a Honorable Member only? And for the Fabled prefix, are we talking like 100+ posts or something like that?

Well you have to be active to have a Base title, but you can't really tell how long just from their Base title as there are limited places. For example there are 1000 Heroic Members, 800 Legendays Members and 300 Mythic Members, so say a Legendary Member may qualify for being a Mythic but there may be no spaces for him/her so they would stay as a Legendary. obviously this is just a theory.
The Titles however still don't give you a proper guidline so it's best to look at their join date.
Lastly Fabled is way more than 100 mate, I estimate 5000 at least.

I see so if your theory is correct then even if a person qualifies for a new title they may not get it, they'd have to wait for a spot to open up for the title to become available. And 5,000+ hmmm...well then looks like I got typing to do.

Yeah, but people can be demoted remember!
And Intrepid comes before Fabled - And I haven't got that yet.
