If I had met all the requirements for Heroic, and all the possible places were taken up, (if there is a set amount of people who can be Heroic?) would I have to wait until someone got banned/warned, to get Heroic? As there title would have fell during the ban, and they may get it back after, would it kick me back down to a member again?

And yes, I know I won't be getting any sort of title soon, due to the fact of my account age. I'm just curious.

Thanks.
You will have to increase your trust to a point beyond the lowest Heroic member. Then you will become Heroic and they will be downgraded to Member. No bans/warnings will have taken place.

Ah, I understand now. Thanks. In all fairness, you should be at least a Heroic Member, regardless of your 7 day ban. That's my opinion though.

If you get banned/ warned, will it take longer to get the fabled/ intrepid titles?

Also, me with a bit of a story:

I had heroic member for quite a while last year, I got warned and lost it, a little while later I got the honorable title and subsequently lost it to a 7 day ban.

I got my heroic status back about 2 and a half weeks ago, before then I was almost completely inactive in the community forums, so I was pretty surprised when I got heroic back with a ppd of about 1.

After two weeks with Heroic status, I got legendary status for the first time. Why did I go up so quick between heroic and legendary status? Also, I expected that I would do some fluctuation the first day or two I had legendary status, but I went straight to Legendary overnight.

Erm, you must have build up quite a bit of trust before your bans and such then, I mean ive been warned 3 times, and never banned. I got Heroic a few months ago and Legendary a few days ago. Now I made the jump quite quick. I think for you its like Halo 3 skill level, in one playlist you make 30 after ages of playing, then you drop to 29 but you make it easier to 30 again because you've already been it, unlocked it if you like. I think its the same with titles, you've already unlocked Heroic so you recovered it quickly, then you must have been close to Legendary at that point so you got that in a few days as well.
Obviously what i've said is just a theroy.

I think the system bases it on your score versus others. If someone else is more active than you, and you have similar trust, you may drop to Heroic whist they get elevated to legendary.
I would agree with this as my Mythic title is constantly fluctuating and is never constant. Which I assume is due to my activity in regards to posting, although I am an active lurker.

I make tons of posts everyday and I've kept my legendary for a long time. I haven't made any changes from then till now, so I don't know why it'd drop.

Whoa, what're you doing here?

I've been wondering this for a while now, so I might aswell ask.

I was warned, and then banned (for 3 days) about 2-3 months back. I was an Honorable Member when both of these happened. When my ban ended I was still a Honorable Member, why is that? Shouldn't I have become just a Member?

should we not pin this topic, and possible rename it to MEMBER BARS FAQ? that way, people would stop posting threads on it.

EDIT: @steadman, intrepid is just for high post count so i dont think its affected by bans/warnings - it might be affected out of principle though...

Why? People come here to ask questions, we try to answer and help them, and being pinned its easier to see and find.
you seem to contradict yourself - you ask what the point would be, and then support my point by saying they are easier to find - which is what i want it to be. people often dont look down the side for the top topics bar (i dont) and it can take a while for this FAQ to be bumped - someone comes into the community forum, mouse goes near 'create topic' - they see the pinned thread, about member titles
*oh*
and they then read it, and dont post a topic on the subject. not complaining, i posted a thread on it myself in my forum 'infancy', but the prevention would keep the 'serious' community topics near the top. we all know how many topics are locked in here, and how long it takes to de-bump them off page one by bumping other threads.

dont complain lol :P this is my first BNet 'birthday' or 'anniversary' w/e you wanna call it today, and ive now got my honorable title.
i got a warning abot 2-3 weeks ago, yet the FAQ criteria reads 'no warnings/bans'.

the warning was from a thread locked in the universe forum, for being off-topic - apparently, topics on which novel or game you prefer are not suitable for universe discussion, so was a very trivial warning at the least, and didnt seem to affect my title gain.

I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

Noble must not require any activity and relies heavily on account age. Back before I had my Xbox (Christmas of '07) I made this account (it was going to be my Gamertag). I have only made one post on it and the only time I ever sign in to it is when I accidentally click Sign in after the last Windows Live account I logged on to was the one for that account.

It will be interesting to see if it gains Exalted in a few months.

There are two explanations. The first is that you are not posting enough in proportion to other Legendary/borderline Heroic members, so, you are dropping without a ban.

The second is that Achronos has altered the number of Legendary members or the amount of trust required for Legendary (effectively the same thing).

Anyone else notice that alot of people titles went up recently? I haven't really posted in 2 weeks and I come back and have a heroic title. Seems weird to me. Plus I've also noticed that alot of familiar names have also ranked up. I wonder if they changed the quota for each title.

Achronos may have increased the quota in anticipation of the Reach crowd.

1. Honorable - No bans/warnings in about 1 year. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans. Source

You got lucky and kept the title, I'm guessing.

I like Legendary. Plus, I just got it a little less than a month ago, so I'm content with it. I just want a prefix. Honorable and Senior are both going to take too long, and Intrepid, despite that I've posted 20ish times a day for a while now, still eludes me.

Well, your PDD is 18.75 at the moment. You'll either get Intrepid or Honorable.

He intended to type PPD which is an acronym for Posts Per Day.

In my opinion PPD is irrelevant, but you can check yours here.

With a PPD of 19 or so, I would expect Intrepid. Has anyone been able to 'accurately' (more than a guess) record what the approximate number of posts required for the 'post titles?'
