Still Fabled on this account. Very interesting. I wonder if it will ever go away.

Well, so long as your active in it at least once a month then it should stay.

You should use your original account, RoKKer. It has more history.

quick question though, will looking at the posts count towards anything and also if you stop being an active member, will your rank drop from say heroic member to member?

Well activity is basically the base between every title. If you are active and post good quality post every day, you will be rewarded with a new title. If you don't get on hardly ever, you will be rewarded with a title drop and a new title called Absent Member.

Also, I don't think viewing threads is kept track of in any way. You have to reply to the thread.

I wouldn't say so. The name is ugly, and the only thing it has that this one doesn't is a year and a Fabled title. And besides, that is what Coup is for. ; )

It's original, that's what counts.

And I don't use Coup d' Bungie anymore. Not everyone sees it.

"xo" =/= Original

Let's move on. I'll get a title on this account eventually. Just got to recover my Trust Rating.

Woah.... You are an odd one indeed sir.. Maybe the site doesn't feel you are meant for one?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

The title system dislikes you.

I don't think the length of your post has anything to do with it either; because if it did, it would be open to exploitation, people quoting long responses would get trust benefits.

Account activity is not nearly important as account age. Being active counts probably as 1 post per day. If you look at most of the Mythic members they only post once per day but they have been here for a VERY long time (think 2002 - 2007 at the latest).

Yes, if you're inactive your trust drops, possibly causing your title to decrease but NOT your prefix.

Hmm... I've heard that sometimes, ban/warning messages don't go through, and you may not even know you were banned/warned. Try PMing a mod and asking them to check your ban history, since the ban/warning would surely show up there.

Pherhaps, and this is a wild guess, there are, in fact, a limited number of prefixes available.

My second, more likely, guess is that you have been banned/warned in that time but you may have forgotten or Soul failed to send you a PM. Check with a moderator.

  • 08.15.2010 9:53 PM PDT

Maybe your previous bans or warnings are still effecting you(?)

So is it official that there are only 200 Mythic members, or are there more now? I knew that there is a limit, but is 200 still the limit?

I always thought it was a bug, never him "failing" to send you a PM. Weird, because my last ban I didn't get one.

Not that I know of. I think that people are getting confused with a post Achronos made in early 2008 explaining an error in title populations. That was a long time ago, in terms of what the site population was back then and what it is now.

I don't believe that there is a strict 200 Mythic member population cap. I am convinced that it is just a relative percentage to the total active site population, not a specific limit, meaning there would currently be more than just 200 mythic members roaming the forums. The mythic members group and Mahck's/gnome13's mythic member database both show (to some degree of accuracy) that the Mythic population is above 200 and growing.

I see, this makes a lot more sense. The way Achronos was talking, it seems that it is based off percentages. The titles must "balance" out based on population. Thanks for showing me this Spudster.

If you are banned and you don't receive a PM, it's because the message failed. You know how sometimes on very rare occasions your message fails to send? That can happen with Soul as well, as it is just an admin account with a bot.

Any time dude! If you haven't already done so, you might want to read through a little database a few of us put together. It has a multitude of official posts regarding the title system, and it's organized by category and in chronological order so you know how relevant the post is before reading it. ^_^

We originally compiled all that info to help the discussion out in this thread by giving newer members official assurance and older members material to base their theories off of. Sadly, despite being located in the OP of this thread, I don't think it is used very often by those who didn't help make it. :/

But, remember, those groups contain members who are no longer Mythic Members. However, I do agree, that it is probably based upon a percentage of the population. It would be interesting to find out if there was actually a minimum amount of trust required for Mythic, or if it was based purely upon relative trust.

As of the last major update to the title system, this post by Achronos tells us that the titles are now set to a fixed scale.
