As of the last major update to the title system, this post by Achronos tells us that the titles are now set to a fixed scale.
Thank you; that explains a lot. If this hasn't been added to the OP it should be. That would also explain why so many people are now mythic members.

I don't believe that there is a strict 200 Mythic member population cap. I am convinced that it is just a relative percentage to the total active site population, not a specific limit, meaning there would currently be more than just 200 mythic members roaming the forums. The mythic members group and Mahck's/gnome13's mythic member database both show (to some degree of accuracy) that the Mythic population is above 200 and growing.

Im not in that database, nor that group... Although I did ask to join...

So is it official that there are only 200 Mythic members, or are there more now? I knew that there is a limit, but is 200 still the limit?
Not that I know of. I think that people are getting confused with a post Achronos made in early 2008 explaining an error in title populations. That was a long time ago, in terms of what the site population was back then and what it is now.

I see, this makes a lot more sense. The way Achronos was talking, it seems that it is based off percentages. The titles must "balance" out based on population. Thanks for showing me this Spudster.
But, remember, those groups contain members who are no longer Mythic Members. However, I do agree, that it is probably based upon a percentage of the population. It would be interesting to find out if there was actually a minimum amount of trust required for Mythic, or if it was based purely upon relative trust.
As of the last major update to the title system, this post by Achronos tells us that the titles are now set to a fixed scale.

Ahh.. very intresting. Thanks.

It takes a lot more than just logging on for 2 years to gain a high title/prefix. Your "friend" may have been banned before, or doesn't post enough. "He/She" should start posting more on the forums and follow all the rules for that account to attain a higher title/prefix.

Well, when his "friend" reaches 2 years from his/her last ban, they will become Noble. A title (heroic etc) requires you to be active and actually post on the forums.

Okay, i'm wondering whats right here for the order of the titles.

Duardo:
Approximately:
1. Honorable
2. Veteran
3. Noble
4. Senior
5. Elder
6. Intrepid
7. Fabled
8. Exalted
9. Absent

Bungiepedia:

* 1. Absent
* 2. Veteran
* 3. Honorable
* 4. Senior
* 5. Noble
* 6. Elder
* 7. Intrepid
* 8. Fabled
* 9. Exalted

They are both different? Does anyone know why?

It looks like they are both wrong, Absent takes precedence I am pretty sure, but honorable is one lower than veteran I think, which shows that they are both wrong.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of me and Bungie. I expect cake and a Noble prefix.

Never trust wikipedia, never trust any wiki. Anyone can edit them, so anything could be wrong. Trust Duardo, his is much more likely to be correct.

I don't trust that Bungiepedia link list for one reason, why is Absent not the highest? It has to be the highest.

Anyway, I was wondering if posting in a topic that get's locked increases/decreases your trust rating at all? Any ideas?

As long as you post in it, it still counts towards your PPD, so it has to count towards your trust. At least that seams like the logical answer to me.

Nothing about this site keeps track of your daily posts. Your overall posts? Yes. You will not get a trust deduction for posting in a locked thread just because there are many reasons a thread can be locked.

I wish I hadn't have been in my friends game when he decided to quit a bunch to get a game of oddball on a Legendary or Mythic map. I liked being ban free. :(

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

What?
Ban free on the forums and ban-free on the game are two completely different things, buddy. Just because you get banned in one doesn't mean you'll get banned in the other.

I believe that Achronos said somewhere that Multi-player did have an affect upon trust beyond merely having a linked GT. In fact, it would make sense to penalise someone for having a multi-player ban; they did something dishonest, not a trait of a good member. Who knows, I could be wrong, very wrong, but it seems logical to me (and I think I saw a post about this).

The two bans are unrelated, not the trust system involving having a linked GT.

On certain occasions Title Prefixes are not effected by bans; It is unknown as to why.

I'm just a nice guy looking for nice people who love playing Halo as much as I do, it's not about skill, it's not about MLG pro's, it's not about noobs, it's about having fun and learning to laugh at others insecurities rather than letting them affect you. After all, I'm a lover, not a fighter.

I realy expected this system to be a bit better when I decided to look into it. I mean member levels depending on the length of membership? I mean I would have expected it to be more about forum activity, good behavior, and being somewhat helpfull to others, I mean the system has some things to do with what I listed but it's mostly about length of membership. I'm sure if there was more options for use to help with the community then the system would change but I wish there were. And What about moderators? How do you become one of those?

Actually, it's way more about posting often and following the rules than length of membership. It's basically all about forum activity and following the rules. Of course, if your account is brand new, you won't instantly start 'ranking' up because you haven't gained much trust.

The only way to become a moderator is to be chosen by the web team (Achronos). You have to be here a long time, and be very helpful to become a moderator. It's not something you just get because you want it, you get it because you earned it.
