I know of someone that was a member that skipped to Legendary. Then Mythic a few days later.
(Member since '06. He went away for a few months, then we he got back and posted he ranked up)

No, i'm 100% posative that you cannot skip titles however you may be able to go to the next title quicker like me. I got my Heroic a few months back then I got my Legendary 12 days ago.. you can not skip I really doubt it.
;-)

Well maybe you can.. but it must be very rare.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Didn't Iggy skip from Intrepid Member- Intrepid Mythic?

I had an account active for like half a year, no bans/warnings, and still member.

This is my current alt, and it's making me angry. I still stick to my guns about Bungie picking favorites.

It's an automated system... Anywho, just stay active and you'll get that Heroic title soon.

Yeah, I know a friend who joined the site in March of '09, has about five posts, and got Honorable just a week or so ago.

Alright, I got a question. If we are only active in one forum (for me, I usually only go on Halo: Reach forums), is there less of a chance of a title change?

  • 08.22.2010 9:50 AM PDT

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

I'm pretty sure it's a positive trust boost if you regularly post in multiple forums, including private groups. It's not too hard; just make a few posts in the other forums (such as this one) each day, and it may help a little. Not too much.

Well you would probably get a new title faster, if you posted in multiple forums. Other than that, it says you post about two post a day. (It's going to take you forever to get a new title, if you only post two post a day)

Revenant? More like the WORThog!

Do the forum ninjas have to have a certain title before they can become a mod? (Like noble heroic, exalted legendary, etc.)

  • 08.22.2010 11:23 AM PDT

Nope. Anyone can become a mod. I believe the only requirement is to have a basic understanding of the English language.

Nope. Actually, I think that one of the mods became a mod after only six months on the site.

How'd he pull that off? He must have made a big impression in the short time he was on the site.

Anyway, back on topic. I know this has probably been asked in this thread, but I don't think I have the time to go through the hundreds of pages. Is there an order in which the forums are listed. What I mean is, is one forum more important than the other, so regular posts in the more important forum are better than posts in another one, e.g, the community forum being more important than the flood, etc.

No idea. He/She must've fit Achronos' requirements for becoming a ninja.

Does anyone have any [even if vague] idea of how many posts it takes for Intrepid? Fabled? And is there somewhere where you can check how many posts you've made?

Go to your profile, click on "Last forum post" and it will have the list.

Edit: Each of the pages has 25 posts listed. That may help you calculate your post count if your looking to go up a title.

That only works for so many posts...

Yes, the max it will show it 12 pages. If I go and check the 12th page, it has my post history up until 8/1/10.
Obviously, thats not when I joined.
The best way to see how many posts you've made on B.Net is to go to google.
Type 'Site:Bungie.net "*username*"'
Make sure you put your username inside quotation marks.
