Well you post about one post a day which is nothing. To gain your Legendary title back you should try to be a little more active every day!

I went from Legendary Member, to Member, in about two days. WTF. I did nothing wrong. This system makes no sense.

If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

I got both my Heroic and Legendary titles in the middle of the month, too. It's not that your title can't shift unless it's the start of a month, it's just that at the start of each month, the system looks at your activity, account age, etc, for the whole month, and updates your trust accordingly. During this time, many people have shifts in titles.

Ahh ok, thanks for clarifying.

I've been lurking the forums & Bungie.net for quite awhile now. 2 years I think? Yet, all I have recieved was the honorable member title once for like a week, then I practically screwed myself by "trolling" for a little while. Hope I don't make that mistake ever again.

Posted by: Dark Martyr 117
It was a bad move on my part. Sometimes, after sitting here for quite a while, I can't think straight when I'm typing, so what I do occasionally now is just get up & take a break for like 10 minutes or longer, then come back after.

I love Bungie.net, I love Bungie, I love Halo. And I have no one else to blame but myself for me getting in trouble on here when I have. I've learned to accept this fact & now I enjoy the time I spend on the website.

Well I looked at your home page 'about your self thing' and you say:
I'm going to be 16 this October. I've been banned 4 times I think (lost track) & blacklisted once. I'm not proud of this but I've been on good behavior for around 5 months. I've just started taking guitar lessons. I own a Billy Squier (By Fender) 6 string acoustic guitar. I love Bungie, the Halo series, Marathon & being who I am. I'm mostly a nice guy but you might feel differently. Sometimes I care for the score, sometimes I don't.

5 months of following the rules won't be enough from the bans, backlisting and warnings to go away. You'll have to be active and follow the rules for at least a year before your 'trust rating' recovers from them.

OK, I was Mythic for a long time and had been pretty active on the site posting several times a day. I decided to log in every day but not post at all. It took 8 days to drop back down to legendary. I will now start posting every day again to see if and when I go back to Mythic and how long it takes.

Well you barely post one post a day! I suggest you post more than at least five post every day, and then you should get your title back soon!

Only recently have I posted so little and it was more of a test to see how much inactivity it would take for me to drop down. Previously I was very active in private groups and I believe posting in private groups is given the same weight as posting in the mains.

Trust me man, just one day of not being active can drop your title down from a Mythic Member to a Legendary member. Just keep posting a little more and you should get your title back.

You won't loose Fabled by not being active. ... I don't think.

  • 08.25.2010 4:59 PM PDT

Yeah, I believe once you have achieved Fabled you won't lose the prefix unless you become inactive for 2 months *to gain absent*, gain Exalted, or get banned.

Huh, weird. Fabled is an "active" prefix, so I assumed that being inactive would result in it going away.

Yea true I think.

So when ever I get fabled do I loose honoroble?

[Edited on 08.25.2010 5:13 PM PDT]

  • 08.25.2010 5:13 PM PDT

Yes because Fabled is above Honorable.

You'll lose honorable when you get intrepid (Which comes before fabled) or if you get any prefixes that have a higher priority than honorable, which is all of them.

That certainly supports the idea that Intrepid/Fabled require a certain number of posts, and have nothing to do with PPD.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.
-TGP-

So I've been thinking, and my thoughts are as follows.

Warnings of any sort (I.E. replying to spam, trolling, and posting in wrong forum) all take away the same amount of trust points. You see my reasoning in this is that I did something that wasn't that bad, but it still was worth a warning (or at least a nice PM). But I still lost my Legendary, so if I had maybe posted the same thing twice in the wrong forum and I got warned the same result would happen.

Of course I have no further evidence to back it up. And I don't recommend anyone trying to get it. You will most likely be warned.

Okay so I got a warning August 9th. Maybe September 9th I will get promoted. I have increased my activity rate alot. I think I had a PPD of 0.41 and now have a PPD of 37.5, CRAZY!

If you just got warned, don't expect to go up in title. Plus, the system rewards consistency, so you'll have to keep your PPD up for a while before your trust gets a big boost.

  • 08.25.2010 7:03 PM PDT

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

Yep. This system is still quite confusing I think. But consistency seems to be what is needed to maintain ones title or help move quicker to the next one, aside from just playing nice to begin with.

I doubt you'll get intrepid soon. I've been posting for 3 years, and my posts-per-day average is 20, and I still don't have intrepid. Your account is only a year old and you have a 7ppd average. It will take you quite a long time to get intrepid. As for heroic, you should be getting that soon.
