Per Audacia Ad Astra

You can't go from Exalted to Senior unless you get banned or warned. Most likely the user that you where looking at got banned/warned so.

I've been a member of this website for almost two years now, and I post probably once - four times a day, yet I am still a normal member.

How active do you have to be in order to gain higher titles? I was an honorable member, but I posted a "dat ass" topic and lost it I guess.

Thanks for the help. :)

You have a .86 posts per day average. That's not active enough to become heroic. Also, since you got banned that will hold you back a little bit. If you post more often, 5-10 times a day probably, and do it consistently you should get heroic after a while.

Also, remember that activity in private groups contributes to rank too.

Exalted is where you have no Bans or warings for 3 years. If your banned or warned then you will loose Exalted and drop to your next highest prefix most likely Fabled if unlocked.

You had probably gotten banned for that "dat ass" thread. Which probably brought down your rating.

Try posting more useful things too (not saying your posts are stupid or anything) that will help too

Yea if you get banned it a powerful effect if you get banned.

Your average is 2.78. I don't use the link or I would post it for you, I have a script that tells me a user's PPD.

Ok because I remeber someone complaining he lost exalted ,and got senior.

Yes, I remember reading that too.

Personally I don't trust the rankings in the OP. I don't really see how someone can say that one is higher than the other without some sort of inside knowledge. I know that through observations we can infer that, for example, Honorable, Noble and Exalted relate to ban history for 1 year, 2 and 3 respectively. But for some, like Elder (which is the rarest along with Senior), it can be difficult to differentiate between changing titles.

We have seen that all prefixes are changed by bans (people have lost activity and longevity prefixes due to bans, not just prefixes relating to ban history) and so I don't think it is right to infer that for example Senior is necessarily lower than Exalted. If you were a senior member and you got banned, you would lose both senior and exalted (if you fulfilled the requirements for it). Likewise, if you were Exalted and also fulfilled the requirements for Senior and received a ban, you would lose both titles.

Just a thought-in-progress, feel free to pull it apart.

  • 09.06.2010 11:18 PM PDT

Does anyone even read these?

Actually no. If you're a member on bungie.net for 5 years, had the Senior prefix and then were banned, once he ban is up you will be given the Senior prefix again. However, if you increased your activity over time while as a Senior you will be promoted to Intrepid.

Well, the link works the same... the post below you has the link. It said 2.75. I'm sure it will change after this post.

EDIT: Nope. Same.

They both work it out the same way - I think! I believe it's the number of days between now and the very last post on your recent post history, divided by the number of posts in your recent post history.

If you had an account that was years and years old and had never made a post, then decided to post 300 times in one day, your PPD would be 300. Even though you would have only made 300 posts after years and years.

Could be wrong, though.

PPD is an average, so if it worked correctly, it would divide Number of Posts by Days on bungie.net. (Or at least, maximum number of posts divided by days on b.net.)
