I have a question:

Why is it you lose your title if you are gone for a short time? I was Legendary and just went on a 3 day vacation to Chicago. I came back yesterday and was still Legendary, but now today I'm Heroic. I know I will go back up because I always do, but what makes the formula so sensitive that such small absences result in a change?

I don't care that much, since I know I'll go back up, back it's intriguing.

Achronos said something a while back (I can't find a link or remember exactly) where the titles are based on the highest score that day, so if you don't keep up you title will drop.

Something along those lines but with a lot more words.

Kind of. I know it updates daily but I'm not sure exactly how it works. I'll try to find a decent quote for you.

I just noticed that a bunch of those we are familiar with seeing in blue have been stripped. People must be really close to eachother when it comes to trust ratings in the Mythic region.

Perhaps it's time to increase the n value for Mythic members to 400 or something to make it more fair.

Just for the record, I'm not one of those people who are bouncing up and down from Mythic so this isnt about me.

*cough* I've been a member for a freaking month now after that ban, and I post like crazy. Correct me if I'm wrong, sir Duardo, but I should be going up again by now, correct? Or does being banned completely reset all of your counts? Because I just thought it did just for Trust, and just for a little while, and was removed slowly.

There's no "I should be going up" after a certain time thing. You are set in relation to every member on the site and as long as there is a pre-set n value for how many heroic, legenday and mythic members there can be at any given time there will be no guarantess that your old title will return.

Example

This example is based on speculations and the only theoretical parameters I will be using are activity, join date and violations that has resulted in warnings or bans.

So lets say that Achronos has decided that those eligible for the Legendary title must have joined pre- 10/7/2006.

You joined on 7/2/2006 your activity is X and your violation value is 0

Member no´2 joined on 9/17/2006 has activity X and a violation value of 0.

Out of the two of you you're getting the Legendary title simply because you joined first and the other criterias are tied.

If you all of a sudden are getting banned your violation value will increase to 1, which is less wanted when it comes to titles. This turns member no´2 into the more trustworthy out of the two of you and he/she is therefore snatching the title from you.

Now Imagine that there are 10 000 members like member no´2 but only a limited pre-set value for how many Legendary members there can be. Add the heroic member title into this which from the look of things have even lower criterias and there are probably 25 000 members who are more eligible and ahead of you in the line since you recieved a ban and they didnt.

The real system is probably far more complex than this and takes into account an overall sum of all parameters but you get the idea.

I know all of that, I just thought the trust rating would come back slowly from when I was banned, like after about a month the ban would, in effect, have never happened. That's what somebody told me, and that's what I was asking about.

Wow, you're such an idiot. Trust a Fulham supporter to not know such simple facts.

How else do you think the Xbox 360 could be the fine piece of machinery that it is?

You have to make sure your DTV is going up, otherwise you'll stagnate as the amount of trust needed to go up will increase, and a ban can make that hard unless you post a ton.

Vijay is a common given name for males in India. The word Vijay is derived from Vijaya, meaning "victorious". It is another name for Arjuna, the hero of the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata.
The word Vijay is similar in meaning to Jai, although there is a small difference. Vijay indicates being victorious while trying to conquer, Jai indicates victorious while trying to defend.

I was one of those Heroic members that lost their status.... at least 69,999 other people feel the same way. I thought I did something wrong but this is very comforting.

The inner working of the system are a mystery to everyone but the web team. There is no way to know.
