Does activity factor into Exaltedness or just bans/warnings?
I think Exalted fits into the same category as Honorable and Noble. I made an account at the end of '07 which is now a Noble Member, even though I have only made one post on that account. So I believe that there is practically no activity required for Exalted either - just a three year old account that has no bans or warnings.

The system might be more strict for Exalted though, meaning you might not be allowed any warnings and definitely no bans for it. I say this because I have had a few warnings, but I still received Noble on my second anniversary.

I signed out of this profile and (for the first time in months) signed in to a profile which is linked to my gamertag (to check if I had unlocked the Marathon title bar). As soon as I signed back in to this one, I reverted to "normal" member. Coincidence?

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

Was this around 12:00 PST? The titles update then, and it may have just been a coincidence.

If one were to go 3 consecutive years without any bans or warnings, would they jump from whatever title they were at to Exalted status? Or do you generally need to go the Intrepid, Fabled, etc first?

Most likely, you do not need to get Intrepid and Fabled before Exalted. I'm hoping to get Exalted well before I'm anywhere near getting Intrepid.

See you will probably get intrepid before you get exalted at least if you want your mythic in a timely fashion... Cause if you don't have the number of posts for intrepid you must not be active at ALL. So you will probably get intrepid before exalted but only have it for a few moths.

I think I got my Intrepid in February, Exalted in may and Mythic then last month. So it wont take long probably once you get your exalted...

I lurk a lot and would say I have posted in private groups more often than in the public forums lately, mostly due to avoiding the Reach Forums. After Reach comes out I will be posting quite a lot more frequently and should get Legendary (and possibly Intrepid) soon after that. The fact that I'm not already Legendary shows that I don't post all that much - I have seen many people who had joined around the same time as me who are now Legendaries.

I'm not sure if I will get Exalted after my third anniversary though, due to the three warnings I have had. Noble may just be no bans, however Exalted may include warnings.

Skibur's latest thread got me thinking of an old ban I got on another account.

I was Noble at the time, got banned on behalf of a rule I wasnt even aware of and ended up with the Honorable prefix. Is that really how the system is supposed to work? Shouldnt I have been reset to no prefix after a ban regardless of infraction-related prefix prior to the ban? It would be like saying that an exalted could get banned three times before losing all infraction-related prefixes (Exalted-->Noble-->Honorable-->No prefix/other type of prefix)).

Also, i think that we should be able to choose what prefix to "wear" out of the ones we are elgible for. My main is Fabled but I'd much rather use Noble and soon Elder until I'm eligible for Exalted.

You joined Bungie.net before me, I only got my Legendary 29 Days ago so you should be getting Legendary on the 1st of September.

I got my Legendary not more than 1-2 weeks ago. The title is heavily relying on activity so there's no real way of telling when someone will get it.

You are Exalted???
I like it like this: (Exalted-->Noble-->Honorable-->No prefix/other type of prefix)
Thats how it works which is right.

"6. Intrepid - High post count"
Hmmm.... So how many is "high"?

[Edited on 09.09.2010 11:56 AM PDT]

So.. only at one point in my Bungie.net career have I ever had a title. That was 'honorable member' or something similar at some point in 2008 I think.

Since that point, I went thru a brief phase where I picked up atleast 10-12 bans on this account. Some of them were as long as 30 days on multiple occasions I think.

To the point where I was threatened with a permaban if I didn't clean up my behavior.

Since then I have been ban free for atleast 6 months or so, and dramatically improved the quality of my posts & interactions on the site. Given the age of my account, how soon will I pick up a member title of any form or fashion? Can anyone take an educated guess?

Well if you say 30+ Bans that got to be at least a half a year yet till you get a title.

I havent had 30 bans, I've had like 10-12 I would guess.

Maybe 1 or 2 warnings here or there.

30-day bans supposedly last around two years, 14-day bans are one year, 7-day bans are 6 months, and 3-day bans are 3-4 months, generally speaking. What were the durations of your last bans? Were any of the 30-days less than two years ago?

Oh whoops my mistake sorry. But it would still be the same amount of time.

Yikes.

Yeah I had a 30 day ban at some point in early in 2009 I think, so that would have been less than 1 year ago.

Damn, I won't be getting my title back until 2012. Heck, the solar flare is probably going to fry Bungie's servers and our electrical grid before I get a title.
