My activity has gone done majorly .Can I still get herioc.
Yes. I went away for months and was able to get back up to Legendary.

oddly enough, I was Noble Legendary for a while and now I'm down to just Noble, though my activity has been constant, I missed a few days, perhaps I'm borderline?
Guess I have to post more!

Same thing happened to me.

Um.. I don't know. I don't suppose you could find it?
Now that is going to be tough, I'll give it a try but I highly doubt I'll find anything. After all, I could have been mistaken and it was never posted.
Well, I can't believe I actually found it. Oh, Searchbar, I don't know why I ever doubted you.

The way the titles work is that the new "prefixes" are independent of the main "mythic/legendary/heroic" titles. Each of prefixes means something different, some relate to account age, some relate to ban history, some relate to forum history, etc.

The "base" titles haven't changed, although the criteria to get them has. The system is still updating for some of you, so it is possible that your base title will change over the next 48 hours (higher or lower). However, a big change is that once it settles, it should be much more predictable (the rating isn't relative to every other user anymore, it is a fixed scale, i.e., get X trust, get A title, get Y trust, get B title, etc.)
And my past self's thoughts on the topic. (Which I still stand by... kind of)

That is what you meant by "cap", right?

Ahh that, yes i've read that before. When I think of cap I think: '500 Mythic Members only' no more, no less and if you have enough Trust.

Most forums im on have a ranking system that also affects the rep power you have. but as rep is not in use here, the ranking system is more of a way for people to get a rough idea of how long you have been here, and also how polite you are.

Not stuff like avatars and themes, I mean stuff like Login settings, whether your e-mail is verified, etc.

ahh well then. i have left mine as it is for ages. i havent seen any reason to change mine

  • 09.22.2010 4:49 PM PDT

The reason im not a Mythic member is im not as active as i one was. when i joined i was very active. but now im busy i havent had time to come by. now im about a bit more ill be about more.

Bright star, i know of members who have been here 5 years and are stuck at member rank... its all about activity and bans history. most of it anyway

I can confirm that Noble does not beat Intrepid. I qualify for the Noble prefix, but still have Intrepid.

Also, Bright, activity and ban history play a huge role in your member title, especially for the first couple years. I've heard of people getting higher titles by their account age alone, but they have incredibly old accounts. Age is a huge factor, but only after you are old enough does it really play a big role like everything thinks, is my theory.

"The best of the best had to be at the bottom at some point."

You would think I would be a legendary member by now, being as I've been an active member for almost 2 years.

You don't even have 300 posts yet. Unless you post a ton in groups, then you're gonna need to be more active if you want to become a Heroic/Legendary member.

'Noble' is lower than 'Intrepid'. My mate was a 'Noble Legnedary Member' and now hes 'Intrepid Legendary Member'.
3 - Noble
6 - Intrepid

I agree with your theory as well.

But can you explain how such a young account can achieve "Heroic" status?
My theory is that Heroic is more of an activity based title, so you don't need to be an long time mmeber to get it. Then you go to Legendary which requires a combination of age and activity, and lastly Mythic which requires a good deal of age, but not so much activity (I say that because some Mythic members don't even have a PPD of one).

Granted, there are exceptions. If your not very active, but have been on the site for a long time, you might qualify for Heroic, Legendary, or Mythic. Or, if your a really young member, but you have an incredibly high PPD, you might get Heroic sooner. Legendary and Mythic have some age requirement though, so you can't really boost your way up their with a high PPD.

That being said, having a high PPD can accelerate how fast you get a new title. Take Mythic for example, it takes a minimum of two years on the site to achieve we think, but most people get it around three years. IF you have an exceptional PPD you might be one of the few who gets it within two years.
