by now we all know that member titles are affected by being punished, and we all know that we may be punished if we make posts that violate explicitly displayed rules.
breaking the rules may very well ding one's member title. it is just that simple. and, it happens to loads of us. whether one thinks that his offense is horrible or whether in his heart he meant to help people by braking the rules is of little consequence. what does matter is that a rule was broken and that someone was punished accordingly.

So. I guess I was in good standing around here. My title went from Member to Heroic Member. Then, out of hopes for curving behavior of my fellow board members, I posted to two separate 'con' threads informing those that 'we don't ask for 'con' armor'... A couple days later, after serving my time at the hands of Foman for posting to such a thread, whether I was attempting to help my peers or not, my title, once more, was reset to Member.
I know, the rules were posted on the sidebar. I know, the PM's don't make the rules they simply enforce them...
Anyway, my I was blacklisted for my horrible, horrible offense just a couple weeks back. What is funny about all this, is there are 100 threads now on the boards which are discussing, in various forms, Recon (as a result of the new H3 campaign game due out next fall)... Oh well... I guess.Granted. However, given the name of the Bungie's new title (Halo 3: Recon) due out in the fall of 09, my being blacklisted for posting warnings to a 'con' thread is more humorous than anything.
BTW. I'm not asking to have my Heroic status reinstated. Though rules are rules, the 'con' armor rule seemed to be one of those which should have never existed.
