hmmm, still perplexed as to the lack of prefix

Have you been warned or banned within the last year? You could have still kept your Legendary but your prefix could have been bumped off.

You have been banned from the public forums by Disembodied Soul. The ban message is reproduced below for your reference.

Ban Expiration Date: 10.23.2009 3:16 PM Pacific Time

An account owned by you has previously been blacklisted, using a different account to avoid the blacklist is not permitted.

nightmare. During my inability to read the american dates I thought 10 was september. This explains much. I'll get it in ~9 days time.

You might not get it straight away. Last time I received a ban was August 09 and I still don't have a prefix.

Is a warning supposed to affect one's Title? I know the warning affected my prefix, and now I am down to Noble, but I was wondering if it was supposed to also affect my Title. Either way, any estimates on when I will get my beloved grey bar (Heroic) back?

It sometimes affects someones title, but not always. I've seen some people not get affected at all by warnings, and others that lose both their title and prefix.

I have a question. In order to get the "Intrepid" and "Fabled" prefixes, do you need to have a lot of posts per day, or posts overall?

I believe it is posts overall. I was averaging roughly 30 a day the week before I got Intrepid, the day I got it my average was only like 17.

I believe it is overall posts and I think it is A LOT.

It's definitely a lot; I've posted many, many times, and I'm still probably not even close to Intrepid, let alone Fabled. I'd say that it includes group posts, too, so it might help if you're active in groups as well as the mains.

Can a higher authority please shed some light on this:

I've been a member on B.net since May 2007. This doesn't show up on my profile page because I had changed my Windows Live ID earlier this year in March. Along with the change in E-mail, my member title, Noble Member, was revoked and then replaced with Member.

I understand that updating your Windows Live ID results in a reset of member title, but my question lies somewhere else. As seen in this thread, to become a Heroic Member you must have been an active member for at least 6-12 months. I've been a member for almost 7 months; this I am sure of. I've also signed in and posted in multiple forums at least every other day.

Now, why haven't I received this member title promotion to Heroic Member?

I realize that it's only a title, but I'm on here most of my days posting to help others in re-directing themselves to the home of correct information of the sorts.

Please, I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Well usually "active" means about 7+ post a day on Bungie.net, so to get your Heroic title you need to post more good quality post everyday. (And make sure you stay away from getting banned/warned)

I really don't believe that it is 6-12 months. I personally think it is closer to a year, maybe 10-12 months. You should be getting it soon, and by soon a mean a few months.

Member Titles are tricky guys, you really don't "work" at them. You just enjoy the forum and don't get banned, titles will come in time.

Just an interesting thing. I was unfortunately banned for replying to spam on The Flood a few days ago and lost my "Noble Heroic Member" title. 3 Days after the ban though I'm already at honorable? Just wanted to write that. Hopefully I get back my Heroic. <3

I've been banned two months ago twice. Both two day bans. How long till I recover?
There are two-day bans now?

Yes there are apparently. And thanks Tactical!

Yeah, I was just about to ask that. Odd, maybe they are for minor offenses?
No problem, happy to help!
Remembering I had a 14 day ban and a 7 day ban within a month, now 5 months later I'm a Heroic member.

I got to Honourable Heroic, got banned for 3 days, then went up to Honourable in a couple of weeks, then Honourable Heroic again before getting to Intrepid Legendary within about 2 months... :/

Does anyone know how long a member title is affected by a 3 day ban?

No idea. When I got my 3 day ban, I thought it was supposed to be something like 6 months to re-obtain a title, but I regained my Honourable in 2 weeks.

I feel that's not the case, because I am pretty sure my account is "Active" and all I do is long on everyday and post in the private groups. I have a PPD of like 1.8 in the mains so that would not attribute at all.

Well this could be determined through account age also. You may need 2-4 post to be considered active to the server, and a new account could need 7+ post a day to be considered active to the server. (More post a day= more TP's)

Actually, that got me thinking. When I first joined Bnet, and first got my Heroic title, I had to post a lot to keep it. Same thing with my Legendary title. But now, so long as my PPD doesn't drop down to 1 or lower, I can keep my Legendary title. It might be that account age actually fills in the requirement for how many posts you need daily to stay active. It could explain why so many Mythics keep their title with only a 0.18 PPD.

My title changes usually during times where I'm NOT posting as much. Meaning title goes from Heroic to Legendary etc. Even if I post 100 time a day, My Veteran prefix trumps the Fabled, Intrepid etc.

Short bans are weird. They might only effect you in the short term if at all. I got my Mythic in 3 years and a few months with a few 3 day bans, granted they were before this title system existed so they were a long time ago.

Yeah, I think that might be a major factor. They could "loose" it but in order to loose it they most likely would have to be inactive for a long time, since they have such a high trust rating because of account age.

People keep saying they don't, but when I made one about a month ago I got promoted to Heroic in a matter of hours. After a few days I de-ranked back to plain Noble Member though.
