I just read the entire fight, and I can just say, machinimagames is losing. Badly.

As long as you keep posting everyday, and don't get banned/warned then maybe. Also I think Achronos put on the Mythic cap, so most likely he set the number of mythic members to 250. (You will have to either wait for someone to loss there title or steel the title from them)

My third montage!

So in attempt to spark some on topic discussion about member titles I got to thinking about my own situation.

Currently I'm Honorable Heroic. I was up to a few months ago Noble Legendary. I received a three day ban about four months ago. With in about week after my ban I was raised back up to Honorable Heroic. Also during the last few months I've fluctuated twice, meaning I dropped to either member or just honorable for about a day before I stabilized again.

Just now I was looking over the member titles and prefixes and their prerequisites. My Account is nearly three years old. I've been fairly active, posting nearly every day. I don't create to many threads unless I have something important to say, quality over quantity. I'm active in several groups.

However looking at some of the prerequisites for the pre-fixes and titles I noticed something, that on the surface, seems contradictory:

Legendary: Active for about 1 to 2 years.

Now I'm aware that there seems to be a "cap" on how may accounts can hold or have a certain title. But with my account age It seems I should have recovered from my three day bay and been raised back to Legendary.

I know I won't get "Noble" back until some time next year, if at all.

What I'm really curious about is what will happen to my account in Feb when it hits the three year mark. My guess is will be either I jump up to legendary and retain honorable as my prefix or I'll get extremely lucky[somehow} and reach Mythic status, which is highly unlikely with the single ban I received. Another possibility is that I could end up with something like Intrepid Legendary, or Exalted Legendary, but I again I'm doubtful of this outcome.

The best I can figure is that my single ban is what is keeping me from being raised back to Legendary.

Thoughts?

Nah man, you should get your Legendary back, might take longer than before. I was Noble Heroic and then had a three day ban back in early September, and I still havent earned back my prefix or title. The system is very mysterious.

The major negative impact from a ban is temporary. It's more of a matter of time.

No, you'd be promoted to Heroic, most likely. It's very rare for someone to skip a title.

6/21/2011?

I'm keeping track, of my account history, to see if the theories about the member titles are correct.

The next upgrade for my title, would be Noble in March, and Heroic on June 21st 2011.

I really wish I had kept a record of everything that had happened to my account since I joined. It seems this happens to me all the time and once I'm about 2 years in, I regret not jotting down all the stuffz.

Did you link your GT, or have a Bnet birthday, or anything like that when you went from member to Legendary? If not, I don't really know how you managed to do that :/

  • 11.08.2010 1:25 AM PDT

As Deathtrap462 said 'it only happens when the negative modifier for bans lift' Say you were a Legendary or Mythic member, lets say you stop being active for a while, drop to Heroic or Normal Member and when you come back after a while of posting get back your Legendary/Mythic.. although sometime (most of the time) you go back up through the base titles individually.

There are people who have jumped from Member to Legendary before, without ever having been Heroic or Legendary before. That's what's being asked about.
