As Deathtrap462 said 'it only happens when the negative modifier for bans lift' Say you were a Legendary or Mythic member, lets say you stop being active for a while, drop to Heroic or Normal Member and when you come back after a while of posting get back your Legendary/Mythic.. although sometime (most of the time) you go back up through the base titles individually.

There are people who have jumped from Member to Legendary before, without ever having been Heroic or Legendary before. That's what's being asked about.

Yeah..As Deathtrap462 said 'it only happens when the negative modifier for bans lift'. I can't think of any other reason if they haven't been Heroic/Legendary/Mythic before.

Well you are able to do something about that. Just start posting good quality post everyday and stay away from bans/warnings, yes it will take a while but you got yourself into this mess.

You barley even post, just start posting more and then you should get your mythic title.

HACK THE PLANET!

In attempt to contribute any knowledge I can I will briefly explain recent events regarding my member title.

A few days ago I went to Legendary. I did not decrease my activity at all, I just went down. I stayed Legendary for a few days with constant activity. Now I am back to Mythic.

My activity over those days remained pretty much the same per day, yet I went down.

Just thought I would throw that out for information's sake.

Mine was like that, too, until a few months ago. It took me a while to get a title, but when I did, I moved up quickly in a relatively short period; perhaps the same will happen to your account.

A while ago, I got promoted to Honourable Heroic status. When I signed on today, I got downgraded to just an Honourable member. I didn't get any bans or warnings either. Why did this happen? Was I not active enough?

Most likely, yes. Just be a bit more active than usual for a few days, and you should regain your title.

Maybe a Legendary member got his 'trust' higher than yours for a fews days after having an activity peak and took your Mythic, then he lost it due to his activity falling again then you got your mythic back having constant activity.

Activity definitely plays a role. A combo of activity and longevity is what makes the biggest impact. PPD really don't matter either, from what I've seen. Quality over quantity, quality coming from consistent activity on the site along with long tenure(not actual quality of what you're saying within a post, that would be difficult to automate).

This is pretty much the crowning theory of the current system. Like my above post it is all about constant activity. If someone bumps you off, and you still stay active, you will outlast them and go back up.

Did you link your GT, or have a Bnet birthday, or anything like that when you went from member to Legendary? If not, I don't really know how you managed to do that :/
Linked my GT when I signed up and my birthday is in August while I became legendary October 1st.

The title system hasn't been focused by comparisons for years and was never a competition (except between mythics). But everything else, yeah.

I am pretty sure it can be competition if some people get ont he border of a title they are both fighting for.

Since it seems that the account didn't transfer, that's my new account everyone.

So uh, i have noble which means i have been active for 2 years or so? which i more or less have...i take a few months off here and there. Haven't gotten banned once, yet I'm not legendary member which requires 1-2 years or mythic which requires 2-3 years?

no big deal at all (just a title) but it'd be nice to see what the problem is.

EDIT: about 6 months into being on bungie.net i was either heroic or legendary, however they revamped the system to lessen the amount of higher ranked players and that pushed me down...hasn't changed since.

EDIT: whoa...turns out its almost three years, not two. ^.^

Its not like its ruining my life...but it'd be nice to get SOME title for being here for the last two years (almost two anyway) like heroic or when i hit my two year legendary?

Like i said, no big deal at all (just a title) but it'd be nice to see what the problem is.

You are Noble for not being banned for 1-2 years, not being active. Your last 300 posts span 2 years, that's not really that active.

Hah, wow. Feels like i've posted a lot more than that over the last two months.

Thanks for the response, I must've mixed it up a bit in terms of activity and being clean on the forums.

just dropped to normal without any bans/warnings, so i would assume theres a "limit" to the number of prefixes is correct.

I have been banned 3 times on this account. Twice within a 1 month period and that was April-ish. I took a break from then until the release of Reach, started posting again and now I'm Heroic! A bit odd if you ask me.

Well sometimes the system gives users trust points I guess back, Yes you got your Heroic title but it is going to take a while to get a new rank like Legendary.
