Real Custom Games - Breaking the Halo Cookie Cutter One Gametype at a Time

Well the warning really didn't cause you to go down to a Legendary, you are very inactive. Just start posting everyday, and then you should rank up.
Posted by: Canadian Ehhh
This system is confusing and very unpredictable I find. Hell one warning, my first in the 5 or so years I've been here and I'm knocked from exalted mythic down to Senior Legendary. I expected the senior part, but seems strange that the jump from mythic to legendary can happen with a single warning.

No it really did, I'm active in private groups, moreso recently then previously, and the loss of exalted and drop to Legendary happened at the exact same time.

i would advise against posting more than one comment in a thread until someone has replied to your previous statement

Well truthfully it depends what the content is in the thread, and if you double posted. So most likely you had posted a "Spam" double post. (But it is a good idea not to post twice in a thread without being quoted, if you have info to add then just edit your post)

Name's WIlliam,

For the love of God it's pronounced mister-shag, not misters-hag.

I realize many questions like this have been asked, but I recently lost my heroic status. To my knowledge, I have received no warnings or bans. I have posted in all the forums today, and have not received a pm with a warning in it. What did I do? :(

Is there a set number of these members (heroic, legendary, and mythic) and someone had gotten higer "statistics" than me, and knocked me out of the club? I'm quite curious...

Positive vibes.

I believe I've had at least 10,000 posts, because I was Fabled at one point. I lost it do to a faulty permanent ban, but regained it later on. Then I lost it again. Ha, I can't seem to keep my title for more than a day or two it seems. Ah well. Ha, I'm hoping that in a year or so, I'll be at least a Legendary Member. I've always thought that gradient title bar looked really neat.

:)

Mine was bouncing back and forth for a few days. Guess it was in that 'grey' area. Finally went up and stayed up.
From what i can figure out, we'll never know what the exact mechanics of it are and just accept that if you 'play nice' your title will go up on its own.

Digging the grey now though.

Well your rank is bouncing up and down because of your activity, you need to start posting more to hold a strong rank.

Yep. I've been bouncing between Mythic and Legendary for a while now. I haven't been able to be very active lately, so it gets difficult to maintain Mythic.

From experience of looking at others, once your join date is above 4-ish years, keeping Mythic basically plays itself.

  • 11.23.2010 12:15 PM PDT

Normally yes. I been here since 2/2005 but pretty much just lurked around for the most part. Had I been active all that time I'm sure my title bar would be quite different.

Still, not complaining. Bnet has been pretty cool and fun even just to lurk around and stuff. Being active is a whole different story now.

Can anyone tell when i might get Exalted Mythic Member? I have been active for pretty much the whole time!

Basically, just be a contributing member fo the site. Post in the forums (appropriately), join a couple of groups, link your gamertag, play a little Halo, and let the rest take care of itself.
Those either:

1. Don't matter at all.
2. Don't matter significantly

The only reason I say that is I only got a gamertag a couple weeks ago. I'm sure the experts in this thread have better documentation on if/how it would be factored in.
Well Achronos has hinted that a linked gamertag and playing Bungie games could be a factor in your title. I remember Duardo saying how he went down a title when he unlinked his gamertag and only the other day someone posted a thread saying they lost their Honorable prefix when they unlinked their gamertag. Which actually makes no sense to me as that's to do with ban history.

Unless of course that subtracted from their trust points on every prefix group and he was barely a honorable member. You know what, I'll make a post on my own prediction of the title system.

Bungie cant just de-title you because you have unlinked your gamertag. That would be wrong.
Common ways to move up in the title system:
Posted by: Duardo
In order to advance in title, you must be active. Here are a few ways:
-Log on every day
-post in groups and threads daily
-create threads
-link XBL Gamertag to Bnet account*
-etc.

*What if we dont have a Gamertag? They cant just say "Well too bad if you dont have one". I live somewhere where my internet sucks. Its not my fault. Hughes.Net is a terrible provider if you use alot of bandwidth within a 24-hour period. Id have Gamertag if my web didnt suck. I do alot of the above ways except link my Gamertag. Does that mean Im a terrible person? No. Iv been here a while and have had no warnings/bans and Iv been absent twice (:L Yeah, I know. Absent twice within 2 years). I post a bunch and have created alot of threads. Im planning on joining a few groups too. I just dont have the money, time, or provider to link my gamertag!

Well the good thing about losing Mythic for not being active, is that you can get it back with only a few days of posting.

There are people with Mythic that have never posted in the mains.

So yes, they do count. Whether they count for less or the same amount as posts in the mains is up for debate.

I'm not 100% sure if it counts towards your prefix, but I'm almost positive it counts towards your title.

I stopped posting for a few days last week and went down to heroic, I came back and made about 10-15 posts in private groups and the next day I was back to legendary.
