I've been active for more than 12 months but I'm still just an 'Honorable member.' "/

You only have 7 posts. That's not active.

I've truly been active for over a year, and am still honorable member.
Your first post is 10/23/10, and your last is 11/30/10. That's not active for a year.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

*Sigh.*
Bungie.net only shows your last 300 posts, or 12 pages of replies/posts. Not you're overall history, except if you have posted less.

With your logic, I can say your first post was 11/8.10, and your last was 12/1/10. And I know that that isn't true, simple because then you wouldn't have the Heroic base title. Back up and check your logic/idea before you post.

You probably could, but I really don't see the point!

So I just thought about this, isn't there a way to cheat the title system based off of some conclusions? Like, what if I made a group just for me, and started making a ton of topics and posts. Wouldn't that boost me or something along those lines?

And if it wouldn't, why not? Would it matter how many people clicked on my thread? Or how many replies it got?
Same, I don't think anyone would want to post 5000 times in one thread by yourself..

No, I think the title system gives active members a boost in trust points. Also I think it rounds up your rank, so if you are a few hundred away the system would rank you up. (I'm not fully sure though)

So the first of the month, we get trust points?

Positive vibes.

I believe you build trust points throughout the month, and on the first day of the month you are promoted. This is, of course, if you have been a member for a little while. I've never seen a member who has only been here for one month get promoted.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

I think every time we post are trust points go up ,or when ever we sign in our trust points get added up.

Correct, I have noticed over the last several months that usually around the first part of a new month, active members got promoted. The system is still very strange in how it works.

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

As long as I don't lose rank at the beginning of each month I'm happy.

Well what- you expect people to check through this whole thing?!?

*How come I didn't get this title?*
*Check page 237 and GTFO*
I mean... that doesn't really work, hah.

No I mean put speculation in the OP.

  • 12.01.2010 6:09 PM PDT

don't send me group invites

I'm a little confused how I have Noble - active member for 2 years without a ban for 1 year, but not Legendary - active member from 1-2 years. Not a big deal just a little amusing.

You mean, kinda like this theory that is completely relevant to the current questions being asked? =P

In all honesty, I've given up on trying to get people to read the OP before asking a question. Frequenters of this thread should know that there is a plethora of user created theories and official employee post clarifications that are just sitting in the OP waiting to be referred to questions asked by new users... but I guess it's just an unrealistic goal since this thread gets so much traffic.

Instead of just theories being posted why not a small FAQ as well?

To get noble all you need to do is just sign on bungie.net every few days for about 2yrs. Since you already have Heroic it can't be to long before you gain Legendary. You will get it in due time.

Well, they shouldn't really need to ask that. That's what the FAQ is for after-all. And it isn't just new members, old members ask just as much, if not more.

"How many posts until I get intrepid?", "When will I get Heroic?", "Why did I lose my title bar?", "How come I'm not a Heroic member yet?", etc.

But it's not exactly a big deal, the thread serves it's purpose: keeping all the silly questions in one place so it doesn't clutter the forum. (Yes, I know, not all of them are "silly questions")

Just recovered my Honorable after about 3 months after a 3-day ban (as well as 3 warnings before). Though I have been starting to use the sign out button in the past few weeks. It seems to work better that way.

EDIT: Just realised, this is the first time I've posted from a different PC in a while (and have switched networks two times today) Related?
