I have about 176 total posts. Most of these are thought out paragraphs that are related to the subject, some are quick one sentence replies to other's questions/statements, but I've only been a member since 08/09/10(lol just noticed that). When do you think the nearest date is that I earn a title?

Firstly, you need to become more active. I'd guess in about 4-6 months if you become more active and stay consistently active.
More active? I log on every day.

Activity referring to posting, not simply logging in. 176 posts over the span of time you've been here really isn't much at all.

Isn't much at all? I've only been here for 4 months. I've seen Interpred Mythic Members with less than 100 post count.

You said you were a member since 8-9-10 and that's what your profile says.

I have well over 1000, probably many more posts, and the intrepid title is received, by word of this toic, by having a high post count. I do not have intrepid, so I can say to the best of my knowledge that is not possible.

The person might be really active in private groups. Checking the last posts does not show group posts.

Yes, and now it's 12/16/10. Precicely 4 months and 7 days.

If you read the first page of this thread you will notice that the earliest title is reached in about 6 months.

I guesse the maximum amount of posts you can find using the search bar is 300. How do you find the exact number of posts?

Well, this is the most efficient way, but not effective at all unless your account hasn't ever posted: Tally every post you make.

But, if you google your username, you can get a rough estimate of how many posts you have. It also lists every time you've been quoted or your name has been brought up, so it's not "as" efficient. Just round it off to what you think would suit it right.

Ok, I googled my username and got like 900 results. Sooo, I found out EXACTLY how many posts I have by searching my name with the forum-author search bar and searching once under each different forum. After about 1 minute of adding, I found that, including this post, I have 324 total posts.

I googled myself and did the exact same thing you did, and it came up with 8,000 post. I honestly dont think I have that many total. Hmmm, maybe I did something wrong.

Several pages back I customized a google search that gives you probably the most accurate results...but google is not even close to the exact number you have.

I wish there was a post counter.

Here it is!

The only flaw is the "about". It does not give you the specific number. I get about 6,800 then when I go the second page it switches to 14,000.

I don't think Google is too close for me either, it says that I have 200,000 results.

Using your method, but switching in my username, and Exalted member gave me a little over 500 which seems about right.

It gave me 15,500 when using it that way.

Which shows how inaccurate it is, since JPeloquin has the Fabled prefix and yet has less search results.

That's why I think the webteam should make a "overall total post", counter. (So basically how many post you've posted)

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Mine comes up twice. Once with 12,100 when searching "Fabled Legendary Member", and again with 7630 when searching "Fabled Heroic Member".

That would be nice, just so we could see our overall post total.

Well you are correct about your base title. But the point of my post was to see if anyone agreed with my theory, about yearly bonuses.

Theory: For all of the years that I've been a member of Bungie.net, I noticed that most users get ranked up in the beginning of the month. Most likely the ranking system looks at your activity/post over the last past month, and decides if the user should be rank up. Now does anyone else think this system applies for the whole year? (So instead of looking at the last month, the system looks at the whole year)
Posted by: paddys1177
I think that, at the end of each month you receive X amount of trust points for not getting banned and for being active through out that month. This would give you a boost in trust points therefore being promoted is more common at the start of each month. So that would mean people who've been here longer get more trust point boosts therefore the higher tittle. People who have been banned would not recive their boost for X amount of time, taking longer to get their tittle back. Now I've been here for over 2 years and only ever had Honorable (For a day), due to my ban history. I think that I have not received a base tittle because my bans have ruined any sort of trust point boost.
