Maybe not as active, but I postted several times a day, probably 5-20. This month has just been a very active month, about 10-30 a day it seems like.

Keep doing what you're doing and you will gain Heroic. Your activity is good, time is now your best friend. Consistent high activity over a stretch of time is what will earn you Heroic(I think).

Message me if you want, I will try to get back as soon as possible.

See you on the forums and in the games.

Sounds good to me, thanks guys.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Though my theory I have posted in the OP is heavily based on activity, I honestly think it's mostly based upon how long you've been here and a small combination of ban history/activity.

Mostly both. If you go inactive for a while and your account has been here sense 05 with no bans/warnings, you'll most likely be a Exalted Heroic Member. (Then of course you will need to post to get your mythic title back)

Pretty much, it is people and societies ways of doing things which differ from what should really happen. We vcannot change societies ways but we can enforce the right ways by putting punishments on those who ask without even reading this thread.
I'm going to have to disagree.

For starters, as previously said, most of the questions being asked here, are valid and on-topic, we just don't have the knowledge to answer them. Handing out bans for something like this just seems ridiculous and a waste of time. You expect people to be punished for having a valid question, posting on-topic, and being in the right thread? It just seems silly to me.

Another thing, most of the people that ask these basic questions are new here. When I was new I didn't take the time to read through 500 pages to try to get an answer across, did you? Plus, we to this day, don't have a firm understanding of how the title system works. Why single them out?

Hmmm, I don't know what to say...

I have a question:

Why is it so complicated? Was the system purposely set up like this, or what?

  • 12.22.2010 3:36 PM PDT

Does anyone even read these?

No, Achronos smashed his head against his keyboard and by complete random chance the Title System was created.

But seriously, it's not all that complicated. Be active, behave, and be here for a while and you'll advance.

You can maintain a title from posting in groups. That's no big secret.

Exactly. If she's very active in her private groups, and rarely posts in the public forums, it's possible for her to earn a mythic title bar. It's not so rare, actually. :)

I've been told that killane was the one who bang his head against the keyboard a few time, literally.
Thus created the new website's appearance.

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

That's what we were just discussing above, Neko. If you post enough in your private groups, and continue to log in everyday, you can rank up. It's not so rare, actually.

And, I would also like to add that the more you post, the more likely you are to lose your title for evening leaving for a short period of time. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but a friend of my informed that if you keep you APPD at the same ALL THE TIME you'll rank will normally stay the same if you leave for a short amount of time. If you post A LOT though, your APPD will drop drastically on that day you leave, and your title might go down immediately.

Example: Username posts exactly 10 times everyday. Username leaves for a few days, and his title stays the same.

Username posts 500 times in one day, gains a title, then leaves, his title goes down.

:)

Whoa, just realized today's my 777th day on bnet. Never thought I'd stay this long. And Rascal, I'm pretty sure we went over that several times, you not only need activity, but you need consistency as well (and age plays a major role).

I'm seriously thinking about making another theory composed of information that everyone points out or ask for.

It would probably not do to much to cut down on the clutter, but it would be easier to find and direct people to.

So lately I've noticed that users have been asking the same questions again and again. When the question has already been answered by another user or the OP. So the point of my post is to help reduce the amount of questions asked in this thread, by answering commonly asked questions. (I'm going to ask a popular question, and then awsner it. Also OP means Original Post)

I've just been banned/warned, and I've lost my title. How did I loose my title, and how do I earn my title back? Help please! Well taken from my observation's of the Trust point theory's Posted in the OP. When you get ban/warned you loose trust points, this action could make you loose your title. The best way to get your title back is to start posting good quality post everyday, and to stay away from posting thread/post that could get you banned/warned.

Am I able to still maintain my title/prefixes by posting in only group forums? Yes, posting in group forums are almost exactly like posting in the community forum. (But I suggest you post in both forums, to get a higher chance of ranking up)

Do locked threads affect titles? No, unless you are sent a warning/ban from a mod about the thread. That on the other hand does affect your title.

How do I earn a new title/prefix? The best way to earn a new title/prefix is to post good quality post everyday and to stay away from posting threads that could get you banned. Also check out some of the title/prefix requirements in the OP.

Does my PPD (Post Per Day) affect my title/prefix? Titles of course are based on activity. However, PPD does have a lot to do with titles; more on the prefixes though. Intrepid requires a high post count, high PPD if someone gets it within 5-6 months of registering. Same thing with Fabled. Fabled however, is VERY HIGH post count. Someone may achieve this if they have a constant high PPD over the course of a year or a year and a few months. But this does not mean you should spam the forums to try to gain a new prefix/title, because spamming could get you banned/warned.

I've just come back from a long period of inactivity, and I noticed that I became an exalted member but Ive been a member of Bungie.net sense 2006. Shouldn't I be Exalted Mythic Member at the least? How did I just become an exalted member out of the blue? Well you have to earn your mythic title, you can't just come back from inactivity and expect to be a Mythic member. Start posting more everyday for a few months, this will help boost up your Trust points and help you earn a new title. Usually when an older member goes inactive, he gets an Exalted prefixes. Which mean you have not been banned/warned for three (or more) years.

When I see more questions becoming frequently asked about titles/prefixes within the community, I'll edit this post and add an answer. I hope this has helped, and please if you have a question read the OP or try to find an answer before posting to help reduce the amount of questions asked in this thread.
