"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Does anyone know if bans/warnings extend the time until you can become a Mythic member? These bans/warnings would already be worn off though.

Bans an warnings always extend the time till a title is earned.

Even if they're worn off?

I never understand when people say bans "wear off" because in reality, they are in you record forever so I do not see how they would just "go away". Any type of warning/ban will make getting your title a longer process because you loose alot of trust points when you are banned/warned. So it takes longer to earn back the trust points, thus, making it take longer to get the title.

True, but I swear that they do wear wear off (no longer in effect). Like being banned and it wears off at a certain date, but the effect on a title wears off.

The effect they impose on your title progression wears off, while the ban will forever be in your record forever.

That's exactly what I was trying to say, if I haven't already.

Sorry to kill the current exalted rule listed in the OP, but I became exalted on 01/02/11, and I got warned on:

The two are 791 days apart. Or 2 years, 2 months.

Maybe it could just be because of the new year or something. We obviously don't know a lot about the title system.

I know a few people got to exalted today/yesterday. And for all I know, I got it last night too. The 3 years might mean 3 calander years without warnings/bans? (In my case, 2009, 2010 and 2011 were all clean.)

Indeed, that could be the reason. I (as well as you might have) thought that the title system goes by the exact time.

I wouldn't be so sure if I were you. The 1 / 2 / 3 year rule for the Honorable / Noble / Exalted prefixes, respectively, only seem to apply to users who have never been banned or warned. Once a user has been banned or warned, the time it takes for them to obtain the same ban related prefix is dependant upon the severity of the ban.

Also, New Years day seems to have a "slate cleaning" affect. I predict that a large amount of users will gain a ban related prefix during the first couple days of January, as that is what happened last year. I am not too certain about Jumbus' case, but it is very possible that he could gain the Exalted prefix on one of those days.

That explains a lot. It's basically like the first of the month effect, but with a greater effect.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Seems like it.

Judging by your post history, I would think that you would need to be a little more active to become a mythic. Though I'm sure you could almost easily get Intrepid since you've been here a long time.

Well, I post at least once a day usually and am consistant with my posts. I think that's probably not much though. Personally, I think post count is weighted too much.

Food for thought: I took a look at the Exalted and Elder requirements and thought "What if they made one more rank which was a combination of the two?"

Active for 6 years + no bans for 3 = Ascended maybe?

Ascended Mythic Member...I like the sound of that.

Btw, post history only goes for 12 pages, after that the old stuff isn't brought up.

That's a pretty cool idea, actually. Either that or a base title above Mythic that people who meet those requirements would likely have.

I agree. I believe that good behavoir and consistant posting should be what counts. Anyone can go and post a crap load...

Sounds great. There should be more titles for the "seasoned" users around here.

Another food for thought: 6 years + no bans for 5-6 = Blue text?

Might be a bit much, but it does give those that are optimal community members some well deserved recognition.

Yes, but that's what the prefixes are for. The main titles are mostly based on activity.

True, but Exalted is at most 3 years with no bans, I figure if you've been here 6 years with no bans it certainly reflects your patience and commitment to a certain degree...or just your avoidance of the game forums.

Yes, but someone could just not be active at all and then get it. Remember that posting in private groups will sustain a main title.

Then I suppose more requirements should be added.

No. You have to be much more active than what you currently are to gain a main title.

At most legendary probably, the account is only 2 years old. Have you been banned? Don't post often?
