Yes, by getting Mythic.

Forgot about that one. I tend to not think about gaining a title when it's really hard to get.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

That's not entirely true. I was inactive for a buttload of time and I come back as Heroic. I was inactive more and became Legendary.
Posted by: SilverBulitt82
Yes, by being slightly less active, eventually you will drop to Heroic.

Posted by: OMARRCHR
Is there anyway to loose Legendary besides becoming absent or getting banned/warned?

  • 01.05.2011 9:12 AM PDT

You probably had alot of Trust Points to though. When I first became Heroic, my activity dropped just a little bit, and when I came back I had lost the title. But I only had it for a few weeks. I was pretty much bordering on the number of points to gain it.

Hey guys I am a huge Halo Fan and I am very committed to different Halo areas. Bungie.net is the best! I have this little piece of Halo with me wherever I go. And no, Halo is not actually pie, it just tastes really good.

Thank you I am asking these questions because I am close to meeting the time requirements for Heroic Member and am now glad to know that my ban did not slow me down too much.

Posted by: SilverBulitt82
A little over two years of constant posting. I only earned it a few months ago.

Posted by: LordofChaos115

Thank you for telling me I was really worried because it is my first and only ban. Thank you for your time. Also how long did it take for you to earn the Inteprid Member title?

Posted by: SilverBulitt82
Difficult to say, usually a 3 day ban takes about 3 to 4 months to wear off. Also if you have had any other warnings or other bans in the past, that also will slow down your progress in gaining a new title.

Posted by: LordofChaos115
Hey I am sorry if this has been said already as I am new to the thread, but I have a question. I am an Honorable Member but was banned once for three days and lost that title. I earned it back a few days after my ban was over, but I am wondering how much that ban will slow down my progress to a new title.

I am sorry if this is on the first page, and if it is I would be glad if someone told me. How do you gain trust points and how does it play into ranking up?

In order to advance in title, you must be active. Here are a few ways:
-Log on every day
-post in groups and threads daily
-create threads
-link XBL Gamertag to Bnet account
-etc.

The system is only known by the Bungie web team, so I don't know how it exactly works.

No problem. If you want to read the theories on the trust points/title system, they are located at the end of the OP.

Thanks once again I read them and actually learned a lot. The reason I want the heroic title so bad is because many people simply ingore my post in conversations because some mythic or legendary member posted something. I simply want my work and commitment to be noticed. Also a sincere thanks to Duardo for making this thread, it answers many questions I had in my mind.

Again, strongly advise you change your wording from daily/every day to "often".

Note: Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I'm just stating what was in the OP.
Without a doubt a thoughtless error.

I'm really confused. I was only listing what was in the OP. No offense, but why should I listen to you instead of a master moderator?

I would ignore him because you are right you have done nothing wrong you were just stating what was in the OP it is right and is far from "a thoughtless error" Don't worry about it I was glad you mentioned it to me.

As the OP says, however, this is basically just educated guesses on how to go up in title. Achronos (the Bungie site Superuser) said that we actually far off from the real requisites.

Well then there is no point in arguing it won't change what it really is. At least this thread is a guide right?

Why can't we put Bungie Cards here?

Achronos (the Bungie site Superuser) said that we actually far off from the real requisites.

I think it is all about game activity on a linked account. I have two accounts - this one and another which has never been banned. This one has a linked account with around 7,000 total games of halo. The other one is linked to a silver account which has never played any halo game.

This one has been banned something like 6 times and doesn't have many posts on it (it was actually inactive for quite a while). Yet as soon as I started posting with it again, it became heroic. On my other account, I have consistently posted a few times every day for around 2 years and have only recently become heroic (though the title goes away within a day or two unless I keep posting with it).

Both accounts are exactly the same age (3 years).

Conclusion? Playing halo has a HUGE effect on trust - something which Achronos has actually stated.

Account #1 Heroic Member (this account)
-3 years old
-Has been banned 5 times and warned at least twice
-Has been inactive for long periods and has a very low PPD
-Has a linked gamertag with over 7,000 games played

Account #2 Member
-3 years old
-Never banned
-Very active for 2 years
-Linked to an unused silver account

Well yes playing Halo I think has some sort of affect on your title, but I don't think it's a main problem. Just try to start posting more everyday. (Someone that was close to his mythic title probably snatched the title from you)
