"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Any idea of when i'll get legendary again? Never been banned or warned, and i haven't slacked off in activity, yet i've been heroic for ages now.

You should have your legendary shortly after your second year on Bungie.net (maximum a month after your second year). However you may gain it before your second year depending on activity.

We had to destroy the Gravemind. It was...too strong. The last possable solution, was to...activate the Halo array...

Yep, your posts go back to 2008, you need to post more. But don't spam, try to post quality.

I know. Lol, I've been away for a long while. Also if I steadily increase my post count, how long (estimating) will it take to have at least heroic?

Yikes, (no offense) you need to post alot more in order to gain a main title of any kind.

Well I'm assuming you have no bans or warnings, so it should take about a couple months of consistent posting. Try to post 10-25+ times a day and log in everyday.

OMARRCHR, its alright, I've been away. And I've guessed that by reading the last couple of pages haha.

EDIT: Alrighty, time to become active again.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

Hmm.
Why do some people have Heroic member titles when they have only been a member for three months? I know it's out of estimate, but three months is a lot different then six months.

10-25+ posts per day? If all those were good quality posts I could never post that much. I thought 5-10 was enough.

I heard someone say once (paraphrasing here) "Multiflag on Blood Gulch with your friends is what makes Halo, Halo." I GUARANTEE that more people agree with that sentiment than "Getting a 50 in MLG is what makes Halo, Halo." - Oboewan42

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

I sure do hope so. I got Fabled almost a year and a half ago...
That is very impressive, considering you have only been a member for a year and half. You must be magic, man.

Yes. In his case, he only had about 75 posts from two years of being on Bungie.net. If he wants to be a higher main rank soon, he would have to do that.

There are 10000 possible characters in 1 post before you reach the limit. It was once believed that the longer the post, the more likely it was high in effort, and rewarded more.

I think that was disproved though.

As far as I know, that's not true. Post quality is better than the quantity of posts.

So then my question still remains, why do some members get the Heroic member title when they have only been active in the forums for three months instead of the minimum of six months.

Well it was the first of the year not long ago. I believe that there is some kind of trust point boost on the first of every year. I could be wrong, but unless anyone else has a reasonable explanation...

I was guessing that compared to other members, they had significantly longer posts, which dictates more effort towards the community and so a title earlier.

But seeing how that may not be true, take it as a grain of salt.

My friend's account is three years old, with consistent activity in strictly private groups, not a single public post, and is an Exalted Mythic. Impressive and is proof that public forum posting is not any more effective than private.

On a personal note, I hope to soon be a Fabled Mythic. :D Couple more months.

Yes, we know about that already. As for you becoming a mythic, it could happen, but you're competing against all of the legendary members for an open mythic spot.

I have my doubts that there is a limit to how many Mythic members there can be on the site. From what I have seen, it is strictly limited to the account itself. Becoming a Mythic member takes years of activity. That alone is not something most people can achieve. Throw in all the many variables discussed in this thread.

Simply, there aren't many Mythic members because becoming Mythic is difficult in itself.

It's difficult because there is a cap, if at some point you fail to meet the requirements you're demoted and someone else is promoted to your spot.

That is what we assume.

Do we have the join date of the person who reached Mythic the earliest? The majority of Mythic's have been here 05-06, most of the Legendary's have been here 07-09. I think it's more difficult to get, rather than a cap. And join date play a big role in getting the Mythic tittle.

NOTE: How I did not say all members.
