If you are eligible for more than one prefix, you will receive the one with highest priority, and only that one. So the answer to your question is no.

Edit- Yes, that is accurate.

Gotcha. Thanks.

Any other findings about linked GT activity as it relates to titles? I was reading through some of the theories but just wondered if more info was discovered. 15,000 posts is a lot to go through.

Is is speculated that active Halo players get boosts towards their next b.net titles since there is no direct game-titles?
Having your GT linked seems to help your title, yeah. But I haven't seen any evidence suggesting that playing Halo more helps with your title. It's possible, I'm sure, but I doubt it, and until I see evidence I'm just going to assume it has not effect on your title.

Fair enough.

One last question (sorry, you guys are giving answers so Im getting a bit greedy):

Is there (to any of your knowledge) a 'reward' system put in place that promotes change in behavior of a user? For instance, if a member joins and gets warned/banned frequently, then changes their behavior and spends the next few months contributing and not receiving warns/bans.. will that person be more likely to get a higher title than someone who has followed the rules from day one?

Just wondering if that kind of system exists to promote someone who was once a rule-breaker to act as they have previously acted to keep a good title.

Let me know if you don't understand what Im asking.

Thanks again for the help guys and gals.

We don't know enough to answer that question, unfortunately. It's entirely possible that that is the case, although I'm not sure how likely it is.

The closest thing to that of what we know of is once you start posting again and folling the rules after you ban/warning has lifted you'll most likely get your old title back some will take longer than others. If you never had a title then nothing will happen.

A 2 week ban probably takes 3-6 months to wear off. I was inactive after a two week ban for 6 months, come back, post a few time and boom, Heroic.

  • 01.11.2011 1:36 AM PDT

Yeah.
I was warned 10/March/2010 and 1/April/2010.
In july I got Heroic for the first time and then in October I got Legendary. My second warning had lasted about 6 Months, but then again if I had Heroic before that then I would have got it sooner.
Thats the only two times I have been warned. Never been banned.

Just out of curiosity, how long do you think it would take a permanent ban to completely leave my record? :)

There's way too many factors in the system to even give you a proper response to that question. You didn't even post how long you were banned for.

Yup, Try as best as you can to log in everyday and post about 10 - 20 times a day. I was going to suggest that you join more private groups but your already in 7.

If you haven't been banned, or warned, it probably has to do with activity. If you keep a steady PPD it should stick at Legendary, but if your PPD is always changing between 5.00/15.00, and so on, it'll always switch back and forth. I know quite a few people who post like crazy, and when they leave for even one day, their rank will go down. :)

I believe that if you followed the rules from the start you would get a title before and guy that did bad at the start. This could change however depending on the number of posts a person makes. Also the file with the bans would take longer to earn titles such as Honorable as opposed to the good file that was never banned. Hope this helps and this may not be right as I am learning about this system every day.

A perma ban that got lifted? I assume probably 6 to 12 months. But there really is no way of knowing how long exactly it takes for that type of ban wear off.

Yeah. I was permanently banned, but it was lifted a few days afterward. I'm not sure how long ago that was, but I'm fairly certain in was sometime last year; maybe 7, or so months ago. Soon after, I received my Fabled title back, so I'm really wondering how long it might take for me to get another title, other than a title Prefix. You know? :)

Yeah, the system is tricky in how bans and warnings factor into it. My first and only ban was a 3 dayer back in early September 2010 and I havent earned my title back yet. So I guess the longer the ban and your ban history play a big roll in how fast you earn a title back. But thats just an assumption.

Its all merely speculation... You can say you know how it works or you think you do, but the key variables to the system, are kept hidden from the public. For the simple fact of what we don't know can't hurt us. (we can't abuse the system)

Achronos and a few others if that know how the system works and will never ever give us the details or every last variable it calculates member trust and title advancement with.

I think that maybe you the longer you go without warnings or bans the faster you gain trust points. Kind of like a point multiplier and it resets if you are warned or banned.

Regardless if you think it works like Oblivion leveling or Guitar Hero note streaks the point is if you're active and behave good you get rewarded.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

High post count is subjective, but it needs to be consistent over a sustained period of time. It's been wildly debated, but most seem to agree that it's around 5,000+ posts.
