Has this been addressed yet? There are really quite a few pages so forgive me for not reading them all to find out my minor point.
Obviously this isn't my main account - however, this account is 'Exalted' (8. Exalted - No bans/warnings in 3 years). Its last ban was (according to my PM box) just over 2 years ago 04/10/2008. Exalted perhaps been a little overestimated?

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

Huh... Well I can say that my account was under "Honorable" until it hit the 3 year mark and then was upgraded to "Exalted".

  • 01.20.2011 7:12 PM PDT

Perhaps. I can recall some instances where people got Exalted a bit early before the three year mark.

So thinking maybe 2 years in some cases?

It was Honorable until I posted on it yesterday, where it instantly turned to Exalted. Either that was slightly pegged back by the accounts relatively dormant nature, or yesterday was a threshold of sorts (unlikely) - seems, as I said, 2 years may well be accurate for some accounts.

We just need to instigate more elitism and Mythic shenanigans.

It might be similar to honorable in that a short ban doesn't always remove your eligibility.

Interesting, my account is well over 3 years old without bans or warnings, yet my prefix is still Noble. The only bans I've had are couple of 15 minutes matchmaking bans in Reach, and surely they can't have an effect to my title? Or can they?

I may be wrong about my warnings though, but if I have had any, I never got a message about them.

there's some title related conversation in this thread

somehow the conversation developed from bungie not caring to Achronos having a debate about titles with just about the majority of Mythic Members.
It may not have much relevant information but it may bring us one step closer to understanding how titles work.

Ok i have a question:

If im a noble member, which is being an active member for two years with at least one year with no bans/warnings, why am i not a heroic or legendary member as well?

Heroic - Active for 6-12 months
Legendary - Active for 1-2 years.

Since im a noble, dont i also meet those prerequisites?

Take a step back with me and enjoy a taste of the bittersweet that is our current generation.

I enjoy Battlefield and Call of Duty, and Gears of War.

20 years old, manager of my family's business, aspiring officer of the law.

I love anything political.

it comes down to defining active, which seems to be misleading you.

Active, as per prefixes such as noble, honorable, and exalted simply refer to the time you've actually been a member.

Active, in reference to title bars refers to actual activity over that period of time. (posting, private groups, signing in everyday).

First of all, noble does not require you to be active at all. Just go 2 years w/o a ban. To get a Heroic/Legendary tittle, you need to be very active, posting 5-10 times a day is what a lot of people suggest. The time you get tittles can vary a lot. It took me over 3 years to get Heroic, that's because I'm not an active poster.

What grants a drop in title?
I know bans and warnings drop titles, I have been banned and watched my title go bye-bye, but what if you haven't been banned?
I had Honorable Heroic, and before I was banned, I was Honorable Legendary and I just assumed that in a few months it would eventually become Legendary again.
Instead my Honorable Heroic has just dropped to Honorable, despite me signing in everyday and posting at least 7-10 times.
I don't think I've done anything that grants a loss in "points" either.
Any ideas?

Less Activity
De-Linking Gamertag

I suggest you post more, try signing in even more!

I had just updated my post, lol. Not that anything really changed.
I haven't been banned or warned, I post alot, I have already signed in like 3 times today (not out of choice, mind you) and my gamertag has been linked for the 3 years I've been here.
Random drop, perhaps? I didn't think that could happen.

It may just be a fluctuation. You may be competing with someone else for your Heroic Base Title.

I'm not sure really. I suggest we wait till tomorrow to see if you go back to Heroic or not. You should do.

I hope so, I miss my old Legendary bar, and usually if you have Heroic it grants you a higher chance of gaining Legendary.

You could have got a warning that failed to show up in your Inbox. I heard it happens sometimes, but it is pretty rare.
