Good to see at least somebody takes this place seriously

I am sincerely disappointed in everyone except JIMH. JIMH, have a gold star.

',:\ IF YA SAHMELLLL

For some reason, my title isn't "Super Duper Awesome Member Fantastic" anymore. It is probably just a glitch, but if it isn't changed back soon, expect much more whining and complaining.

I just have a quick question, I don't know if anybody can answer...but before the update I was a Heroic member...now I am a Noble member. Just a noble member. Shouldn't I be a Noble Heroic Member, or am I missing something?
dont feel bad, i am in the same boat. i have held all 4 titles at some point.. it seemed like the only time i went down, was due to inactivity. i refused to post for the sake of posting, and continued to only reply to topics i felt i could add to the conversation, or was something i felt strongly about.

Does anyone even read these?

Intrepid - resolutely fearless

This made me laugh.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Fabled - celebrated in fables; myth or legend

My life story will be told to many for generations to come.

Eh, I'd assume Intrepid > Fabled, as I was averaging 1,000 a month for the first 6 months of the year. ¬_¬

I would hope that it's atleast some average during the time a person has been a member, or over a longer period of time, so that it's stays somewhat stable.

Well, 10,000 posts over 4 years isn't a huge amount of posting, admittedly, but if it takes into account posting in groups and general activity, then it'd be fine.

Perhaps there's a post count/days registered thing to determine it.

There are threads like these that should be written down in Bungie History.

The point, my friend, is to help people know about the Member Titles, and to save people from posting thread upon thread about the new ranks.

Nah, I understand the point of the thread. But I don't understand the point of forum ranks.

I don't know. Probably to make it easier for Bungie Employees to distinguish the Members.

Why would employees want to do that? Why would moderators want to do that?

To analyze their History when they're handing out bans.

To analyze their History when they're handing out bans.

Thats so weak though. They already know or can find out easily. And even if that is the case, why not have something that only moderators can see? What benefits do I get from seeing that person x is an Exalted Heroic member? Seems pointless.

What does it mean to just have a base title, or is it that the system doesn't have an exact subtitle to give that member?

  • 11.17.2008 10:43 AM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

By the definition, Fabled should be more, but maybe Achronos mistyped. ;-)

I wish Achronos would just give us a post count so we could know. And so I could know exactly how much time I wasted here.

The point is so you can feel special if you want to feel special. There are people who would go the extra mile just to get a shiny title. I was one of them.

It is ultimately pointless, yes, but I support anything that brings more consequences to a ban.

It's basically the same as adding posts to our recent posts list - it'd probably cause slowness on the site.
I'd like it too...
