Sorry Batz. <3

It's ok <3.

Oh and I almost forgot:

Priority Order for Title Prefixes (in order from lowest to highest)
(Priority comes into play only when a user qualifies for more than one member title)

1. Absent
2. Veteran
3. Honorable
4. Senior
5. Noble
6. Elder
7. Intrepid
8. Fabled
9. Exalted

You didnt see that one coming now did you Primum? Hahaha, this is just too good to be true. Personally I couldnt care less whether Fabled was first or last on the list, the prefix simply rocks too much for the order to be an issue.

This new system is sweet. I think the prefix is permanent too. As in opposition to Heroic or legendary or mythic.

no it isn't, fivebergs

I went from plain ol' "Heroic Member" to "Elder Mythic Member" in the space of two days after the update

The Bungie Web Team has authorized the following publicizing of the "prioritization" of Member Title Prefixes.

Priority Order for Title Prefixes (in order from lowest to highest)
(Priority comes into play only when a user qualifies for more than one member title)

1. Absent
2. Veteran
3. Honorable
4. Senior
5. Noble
6. Elder
7. Intrepid
8. Fabled
9. Exalted

The original post has been updated.

Here's a question, where would a base title fit in the order of prefixes. Mythic member > Absent Mythic Member or vice versa?

I think that the new rank update is a great leap forward for Bungie. It lets Forum Ninjas quickly distinguish members to decide on bans. I personally think there will be a great deal of malice and jealousy towards the ranks in the years to come. However, the people like it, and that's all that matters.

I may be wrong on the bans, but its still a probabilty. Only Moderators themselves can confirm it.

Please don't say that; it scares me. I've been banned for many things, and I swear Foman has me on a hitlist

Don't send me group invites.

Fabled is the second rank? That's interesting.

Edit: I still want to know how that is calculated.

Sorry, I wasn't clear as to what I meant. I meant to say that the prefix may be a permanent addition, incapable of decreasing or lowering over a short amount of time.

While on the other hand, Heroic, Legendary and Mythic all seem to depend on something that can change in a matter of days.

For example, over the course of a month, I go from Heroic to Mythic to Legendary all the time, possibly hitting each at least twice a month. I think the prefixes are more of a independant, or lasting title (or whatever you want to call it)

Hope this was easier to understand

And I'm curious to know the counts for all of the titles, I still think there should be a Database or something that has all sorts of B.Net stats, such as the number of people with a certain title and sutff. It'd be really neat-o and rad.

I've had a pretty large collection of titles over the last few weeks (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic, Exalted Legendary, and Exalted Heroic). Before the fluctuations, I was Legendary for quite a while...

I've found that since It's been changing so drastically and frequently, that I'm paying more visits to Bungie.net just to see what my new title is. It really does make me wonder what all is going on behind the scenes to decide these things.

It's a cool feature that Bungie has, but I don't put a whole lot of stock into it. Although I'm curious how all of that works, I can't say it's really had much bearing on my activities here. It's not like I bragged to people about having the Mythic title for the couple of days that was the case. I haven't exactly cowered in the corner since "dropping" down to Heroic, either.

add me to the list of people trying to figure it all out. just before the update, i was a heroic member having been a legendary and mythic at one point in time. after the update i was a noble member, and kept waiting for a change. so many people have been fluctuating over the last week, yet i still remain a noble member. i know in the great scheme of things none of this matters much, but i am frustrated/saddened that i seem to have been demoted. 0 bans, and 1 warning in my 2+ years here, and i would like to think i am a positive contributor to the community. have things "flattened out" so to speak, or is there more tweaking still going on?

We don't know whether or not Achronos is still tweaking the system, but it's important to note that many factors come into play in your base member title, which is based solely on your trust rating on the website.

It's not just about the length of membership, number of warnings/bans, and most recent login to your account. There are other factors that we don't even know about. From looking at the member titles of members who I know and trust personally, however, I think it is safe to say that as long as you remain active and comport yourself in a "trustworthy" way, your trust rating/member title will be appropriately reflective in time.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

I don't think that bans should be waited on membership (although it does happen indirectly; the more bans you have, the longer your bans are, the lower your rank). Newer members shouldn't have to suffer a 3-day ban for a minor infraction, while older members would only have a warning. And higher ranked members should not have to be held to a higher expectation. Lets face it: the ranking system on bungie.net is heavily based on account age. Someone who posts once a day, but has been here a while, is not going to know that much more, if anything more at all, than a newer member who frequents this site. Should he be punished for inactivity on here? No. Should he have a rather large reward for discovering this site first? No.
