Hmm... If my theory is correct, my prefix will change to "Noble" tomorrow. I guess I'll just have to wait and see, but I'm pretty confident that it will.

Ok, whats your theory?

Ha! My theory was correct!

I noticed that a couple of my friends just had their prefixes change to "Honorable" once they hit their 1 year join date anniversary. I also noticed that no member with an account less than 2 years old had the "Noble" prefix. So by putting those two observations together I theorized that 2 years of a clean history will grant you the "Noble" prefix. I'm also pretty sure that it takes 3 years of a clean history to obtain the "Exalted" prefix.

Any way, none of this really matters... I just like observing patterns and turning them into little puzzles. It keeps me occupied and distracted form doing more important things with my time. ^_^

My 'promotion' date seems to be consistent. Both this year and the year before the 1st of January seems to change my title, I don't know if this is the same for everyone else but as it is the first of the year it could be significant.

There is a movie about nixon, It seemed like it was 3 hours of straight nixon action. Sometimes you can have too much nixon.

I am fairly active on the forums and have been a member for almost a year. Yet I have no special prefixes. I had Heroic for a few days a couple months ago, but then it disappeared one day. Why would this be? I have had no warnings and no bans, and have generally been amiable and inoffensive. I'm just curious how I would lose the Heroic titile, only to never recover it.

AVERAGE!!!

*walks to kitchen...looks for sharp object..*

Im going to change, i might try to do some things that could help motivate a vast majority of average gamers out there. And then, I might even get to the rank of Good Boy! :)

I think ill dedicate my extra time to creating screenshots. Once what needs to be dones over, ill worry about being more active on the forums. Giving offering advice and such, sharing opinions etc...

Overall, I <3 BUNGiE

Ah, it's nice to see Tom's Legendary again.
Anyway,
I've had the Legendary rank a total of 4 times since they've started.
Maybe even more.
But it seems like January 1st is just the day when the system looks over everything again.

I believe that theory may be correct, my title changed from Member--->Honorable Heroic Member on 12/28/08 one day before my one year anniversary, I continued to have that member title until yesterday.

Yes. Along with some of my friends that gained the "Honorable" prefix, you were one of the other members that I noticed who followed the same pattern as well... I'm not a stalker... I swear! ^_^

If you ask the moderator, you'll decrease your chances to become one of those special prefix member statue. You can't ask the moderator to see what your data or anything relative to that.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

Here is an observation I have made:
Member titles seem to go up after a short break away from Bungie.net (not involving a ban). Just look at SonicJohn and CaptLegendArian. They both left then came back to have a member title increase. Just a little observation...

I was never legendary, this time last year I was heroic though. Now I'm Mythic... this system must be wrong! I still stand by what I said yonks ago, I don't care about my title and I dislike a bar colour system.

  • 01.04.2009 6:36 AM PDT

Never Legendary, but you were always legend, Tom.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

From my understanding there were a couple of bugs last year where people were given higher titles by mistake. Then, when the newer titles (honorable, exalted, etc.) began, they lowered the possible number of original titles possible. I think this has confused some people as far as their expectation of getting a new title.
