There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I may be wrong, but I think another thing that might prevent a different title is ending a thread. I swear to God, I put the last post in countless threads. I'm thinking of changing my name to "Thread Killer."

(We'll see if this one ends!)

Hmm... If my theory is correct, my prefix will change to "Noble" tomorrow. I guess I'll just have to wait and see, but I'm pretty confident that it will.

Ok, whats your theory?

Ha! My theory was correct!

I noticed that a couple of my friends just had their prefixes change to "Honorable" once they hit their 1 year join date anniversary. I also noticed that no member with an account less than 2 years old had the "Noble" prefix. So by putting those two observations together I theorized that 2 years of a clean history will grant you the "Noble" prefix. I'm also pretty sure that it takes 3 years of a clean history to obtain the "Exalted" prefix.

Any way, none of this really matters... I just like observing patterns and turning them into little puzzles. It keeps me occupied and distracted form doing more important things with my time. ^_^

Ah, so me being Exalted is a very good thing right?

Adding onto your theory I also believe that for a member to gain the Intrepid, or Fabled member prefix they have to be here for around 2+ years. While there is one person that hasn't been here for more than a year has it(had it), other users who I see that have this title are users who have been here for awhile(Ghandi 2, Elmicker, Batzter, Cortana 5, Lord Snakie etc.).

Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Wow, my prefix would be a lot higher if I still had my old account on here. It was back from like 2004.

Aw well. :)

Hmm... That theory doesn't really coordinate well with my observations. I've seen many "Intrepid" and "Fabled" members with scattered join dates ranging from 6 months to 5 years.

I used to think that "Intrepid" members were very active members with a fairly recent ban history, within the last 2 years or so, and that "Fabled" members were very active members with a clean recent ban history. Although this theory could be somewhat true, I've seen a few members that don't follow this pattern leaving me to believe that this theory might not be the case.

My other theory is that "Intrepid" members are just very active members who have sustained a daily / weekly / monthly main forum post count for a long period of time. While "Fabled" members are just very active members who have either sustained that same post count for a longer period of time, or have sustained a higher daily / weekly / monthly post count than the "Intrepid" members over the same period of time.

Well, that's my insight on the "Activity" based prefixes. Now I just need to come up with some plausible theories about the "Join Date" based prefixes. The only problem is that not many members have them since the "Ban History" and "Activity" prefixes seem to take priority, making it hard to observe the patterns of those prefixes. ^_^

aah well when do you qualify for an age prefix? i have been here for like 15 months and i dont have anything. just curious.

EDIT: to build on the theory above mine
1 year = honored, correct? I think that since ive had one ban that it lengthens that time by 3 months, because i got the honored title exactly 1 year 3 months after my join date.

Look at it this way, you get Honorable in a year, Herioc in around 2 years, and Noble in 2 years. Thats three promotions, which is prtty generous if you ask me.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

The titles are automated. It depends on posts, threads, bans and stuff.

Noble means that they post regularly or have been here for a while and such.
