Stop. Four times in a quarter of a year isn't a lot; accidents happen.

Only 4 times, guys!
It's not like getting a single 3 day can take a month to recover from or anything...

LOL, I was being sarcastic...I know that "only 4 bans" is a lot of bans...

No, bans only affect three titles.

Posted by Duardo:
If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans.

I went 2 years without a ban. This year was the year I recieved my first ban. I have read the rules plenty of times.

*facepalm*
Titles =/= prefixes.
Posted by: Achronos
The 3 ban related prefixes have different requirements, varying time and allowed ban lengths/counts. Exalted is considered "the highest" because you can't get any bans or warnings of any kind for quite a long time, which is harder than just being a member for a long time.

Four bans in a quarter is quite a few, actually. It think I may have only been banned four times total. It doesn't hurt to check pinned forum rules. And if you are unsure if something is against the rules or not, either do a little research or find something else to post.

No, Snipe is right AND wrong.

I earned one 3-day ban last year. (June 2010.) So that probably wore off by now.

I earned one 7-day 5 motnhs ago. That will probably wear off late this month early next month. (May of this year.)

And the rest were all 3-days within the last 4 months.

  • 09.05.2011 4:02 PM PDT

Most of my bans are because I posted something that I didn't think went against the Forum Rules, but a Mod decided did. Either way, it's often an accident.

Accidents can be easily avoided, Snipes is indirectly pointing that out. No need to get hostile towards his ban-less behavior here on the forums.

As for your rank, no one knows exactly how long it takes to get Intrepid. Is it PPD or post count? I don't have a theory on that. I tend to believe I have a high post count and a low PPD. As for the title itself (not the prefix) a high PPD is obviously not a very important requirement.

Well then, I'm sorry, but you obviously aren't taking them into consideration when you post. That may help you not get banned anymore.

Oh, no. I understand what you are saying. I always try to post carefully, and after my last ban, I tend to be a lot more cautious than I used to be.

Snipes, you're getting arrogant. People that want titles go out of their way to obey the rules, I don't. I will enjoy my stay on Bnet without posting like I'm walking on coals.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

No, ignorance happens. You clearly posted something you "herp didn't tink was agenst da rulez" when the only reason you could have been banned was because it was clear cut against the rules.

If you're jealous of my title, then that's completely understandable (except not really, because titles suck and you shouldn't care anyway; you've now made this about bans, not titles) But don't act like because your ban was an "accident" that you can take your blame out of dodge.

The first time was last year and was for singling out a specific User. That of course was forever ago.

I feel also feel (from some of my previous comments) that posting between different forums help to increase your chances of getting a different title

I'm not flaming or trolling or anything but I bet with any money you do care about your title, who wouldn't care about having a mythic title, I sure hell care about my Senior one....

I don't go out of my way to obey rules. It's mostly common sense. And even if your sense tends to fail you, skimming rules just once should give you good direction.

You, sir, don't care for the rules. I don't understand why you are getting so heated over this conversation based on your title then. Sure, those bans won't affect your prefix, but your PPD/post count drops during those periods of bans. Therefore you don't get a new title or prefix.

  • 09.05.2011 4:16 PM PDT

LOL!
I always thought the whole "Mythics look down on others" thing was stupid, but I now see there's merit to it. I couldn't care less about titles, hence me saying "I'm not going to act like I'm walking on coals." I'm not going to go out of my way to obey the strict rules of the site; if I break a rule because I wasn't paying attention, then I'll get banned. That's what happens when I get banned. I don't mean to break the rules, but I'm not going to screen every post I make to make to ensure I don't lose a title -- that's pathetic.
