There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

Why don't I not get banned? Because someone has to keep the idiots in check.
It is hard to hold back sometimes, isn't it.

Aye. Some of the comments are too stupid. Just too stupid.

No I am not.

The moderators, however, are never on at the worst times. I am.

  • 01.16.2009 4:14 AM PDT

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Oh pish-posh... We have mods who are posted at all corners of the map and are on at all times of the day.

We hope.

Ah, the mods do fine. They certainly allow some leeway, but that's the Bungie culture. The truth is , that when we respond ot an idiot who needs to be told to sht up, we're over stepping and that can affect your title. We know it when we are doing it. The urge is just very powerful sometimes.

It's not that the moderators are never on at bad times it's that the trolls know that there are no moderators online.

Bungie.net user since 2007.

Beware of the peanut. Don't mess with the peanut. Period.

I am sure this post has cleared up a lot of confusion that I've seen first hand from the Bnet members.

Although everyone should fully understand this is a REFERENCE. And he clearly stated that:

No one except the Bungie Webteam knows exactly how this system works.
I thought I should just put that out there.

Yes, thus why this topic was initially created in the first place, and the ideas being shared in this thread are merely educated guesses based on certain observations. Also, I know of certain users who has payed close attention to titles, and figure out how some of the titles work.

And the thing to think about is that they want a little confusion. It's part of the fun.

So, Duard0, you can be promoted, but your prefix remain the same?
For example: Somedude was promoted from Noble member to Noble Heroic member.
But for my counterexample: Somedude was promoted from Exalted heroic member to Veteran Mythic member.

Can you lose a prefix if you don't get banned or warned?

I haven't seen any member lose a prefix that reflects ban history, or account length(at least a user that hasn't been banned), I guess it could be possible. If it's a prefix related to activity if you go through a time of inactivity you will most likely lose it, what prefix did you have?

I didn't have a prefix, I was just curious if you could lose one without getting banned like the titles.

If you have a prefix reflecting join date or ban history, I have no clue how you could possibly lose it if you have not done anything wrong. It wouldn't make any sense for me to randomly lose my Honorable prefix without getting banned.

True, but there are ways to loose your prefix without getting warned or banned. I would imagine that if some one's prefix is one of the "activity based" prefixes, such as Intrepid or Fabled, and their activity level dropped significantly for a long period of time, then their prefix will most likely change or disappear all together. Not to mention the fact that one's prefix will automatically change to Absent if they are completely inactive for about 6 months.

Our destiny is not frightful because it is unreal, it is frightful because it is irreversible and iron-clad. Time is the substance I am made of. Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river. It is a tiger which destroys me, but I am the tiger. It is a fire which consumes me, but I am the fire.

This is incredible. all of these ranks are awesome.

If I was a Bungie employee, this would be my custom title:

"Fear the Pink mist"

Posted by: S1NESTER
Now to add to my list of wanting to be an employee:

1. Flames
2. Mods without bans
3. Custom Title

Ps. We will decoded the secret titles

A linked gamertag definitely has an impact on your trust rating, I linked my gamertag(or at least a silver account) and I immediately went up to a Heroic member. Now all I have to do is link my real gamertag : )
