I used to be a heroic member, so asking anybody who might know, what do i have to get to Heroic again?

It depends if you were demoted because of a ban or because of inactivity. If it was because of a ban, then you'll have to wait it out and be a good member until the ban effect fades into the dust (which generally takes four to five months just for a 3-7 day ban).

If it was because you were inactive, then just be more active and you should earn it back within time. I'm still just a Noble. >_>

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

Like I said earlier, I believe that the titles are comparitive. You could have lost it because others that are close to you were elevated and took our place. You may have done nothing different. It is that people around you did.

I highly doubt its comparative, you just have to be around for a number of years for you to get a new title, if i would have been active every day since i made this account, I would be Legendary something, most likley to turn Mythic in May or June, but i haven't been that active so it will most likley take me awhile to get a rank up.

the sentence below is true
the sentence above is false

please excuse my annoying request but i have a question

a while ago, i was once a heroic member for about, say, a day or 2, i don't remember doing anything wrong, (or much at all, for that matter). but for some reason i was demoted back to member. and since then ive been one until this date, gaining nothing else but an honorable title. can someone explain why using any sort of knowledge i may have been too ignorant to notice?

We can't give you the exact reason, but this could be caused by a variety of reasons. Less activity than normal, bans/warnings, etc. From time to time I lose my Legendary title for unknown reasons(at least for me), but I just move on.

I can't prove it, but I'd swear I saw a post by Achronos some time ago when he stated that your title was relative to the rest of the community.

  • 03.23.2009 4:01 PM PDT

The titles are definitely comparative, and i also think that it depends on how much / how often you post (not spam)

And if you post at the same rate, but then those around you double their activity, you could be affected.

Ok I have a question. To advance in ranks you need to post allot. Does this mean new topics, or replys to already made topics. Basically do I need to make a new thread or more every day, or do I just need to reply allot?

I can't remember the last I made a thread to tell the truth. Forum activity is only one of the many factors that determine a members title. You have to also factor in how long you have been a member here and your ban history, there are also many other things that also factor in to what title any member will receive.

They aren't ranks, that would imply that there is an ordinal significance to the standard member titles, which is not the case. To answer your question, I don't believe that there is a difference between participating in a thread and actually creating a thread.

Ok, and I understand they aren't ranks. Just typed that by accident.

I'm not exactly sure, and I can't give you a definite answer because I do not know how the trust system works exactly. They both help, but I remember the last time I was bumped down to Heroic, I made a thread in the Flood and went back up to Legendary. Perhaps I will make another to test it out.

"Carwa says:

Me n' Fizz!

haven't received many warnings or bans (if any)So, I'm a little unsure. I would like to move up in the ranks, rather than being a lowly Member, but rather something like Legendary. But, my concern is what you have said. I have been banned once, but it was unintentionaly a ban, for seven days. This was back when people were posting that "girlfriend" link, and I quoted a kid for posting it and criticized him for it. I was banned for spreading the link, which didn't make much sense to me, seeing as I was not promoting it...

But before I get off subject onto my ban, which is the past, whatever, how much is "if any..."? I don't want to be stuck at Member throughout my Bungie-fourm time!

I was a heroic member, then a honorable member and now I'm just a member.

You don't HAVE to. There are EXALTED MYTHICS out there who haven't posted in years. That is due to age and not being banned a lot. The trust system doesn't depend on some factors more than other.

When you say 'haven't posted in years', do you mean just in the public forums? I'm asking because I don't recall seeing an Exalted Mythic Member who at least hadn't posted in groups every now and then. I could be wrong, but that's just what I've noticed.

I am curious. I have been a member for exactly 4 months, 10 days, and I post to the forums daily. I have only had one thread locked, and that was only because it some what, and I mean some what feel into the line of a repeat thread I believe. Why am I not even a Heroic Member. Do I need a few more months?

I hit Heroic shortly after my one year anniversary, I would have to assume that you will receive yours around the same time if you are active, and continue to have a clean ban history.

Sinester- How many of those original 100 members still visit this site aside from employees? Aside from Reiginko, I don't think there are any.
