The SSO is a laid back group for people of all interests. We pride ourselves in our strong community and beastly levels of activity. Whether on the Forums, or the Xbox, it's all about having fun.

Why yes I did just copy the group description

One quick question:

I am an Intrepid member. That means fearless. I just got this rank yesterday. Is that because im not afraid t speak my mind?

Intrepid means you have been active in the forums for a certain amount of time.

Ah, I forgot about this thread, and what all the prefixes mean.

Would a Veteran Mythic Member considerably be one of the oldest Mythic Members (in Bungie Days) here at BNet?

Elder would be the oldest, followed by Senior and then Veteran.

Can you still gain titles if you have been banned?

Yes, bans "fade" overtime so that eventually they have little to no impact on your account's trust rating. It takes a long time to fade though but yes you can get to Mythic Member provided you've been here long enough and haven't been banned for a while. There are plenty of Mythics who have been banned over 10 times.

Trust me, I speak the tru7h. I was a Mythic Member with around that quantity not so long ago before I banned myself and lukems failed to take a joke; I'm not trying to boast as title means nothing at all I'm just saying that you can reach any title no matter how many bans you have ;-)

-edited to add in the much needed '7'-

Ah, I see that now on the OP, thanks Spudster.

So, technically, an Elder Mythic Member would considerably be one of the oldest members here?

^^ Lol

The thing that I've been wondering lately is; "Why don't moderators, or even employees have prefixes enabled on their roles?"

Every member of the Bungie.net community can get a prefix added to their role, but why don't Forum Ninjas/Master Forum Ninjas and Employees have prefixes enabled on their role?

It would show more statistics on their activity, account age, etc.

A Ninja is timeless. Besides which, it wouldn't take long for people to start whining that a Ninja has made fewer posts than they have, has been on the site for less time, or some other reason as to why the Ninja no real claim to their role.

Most people don't wine about their account age/post count to other members, so it would be the same with Ninjas.

I think it would be better for Ninjas and Employees to have prefixes enabled. It probably won't happen, but I'm just wondering why they don't.

I disagree.

If you could see all the statistics on a particular Ninja (let's say Foman in this instance), then it's almost inevitable that some jerk is going to bring these up at some point in a negative fashion. "How come Foman is a Ninja? I've been on these forums longer/I post more than he does/he's not posted in 2 months WTF? How is he still a Mod here? I'm here every day and would kill to be given the opportunity" and so on and so forth.

I think being a Ninja is enough in itself, without being an Exalted Legendary Superfly Ninja too.

That could happen, but if someone argues against a Forum Ninja declaring they should be a Ninja, they will either simply get banned or never become one.

Sure, but that's not a good enough reason to give people the ammunition to start said arguments. It just seems like an idea that would cause more trouble than it is worth.
