I believe the exalted prefix is actually two years without any moderation problems. I got it recently and my latest moderation history was a warning just over two years ago.
The New Years seems to have a "slate-cleaning" effect for the ban history prefixes. The 1-2-3 year rule for said prefixes seem to only account for accounts with no violations, ie you get them on your account's birthday if you've never been warned or banned. For those who have been warned or banned, it get's much more complicated.

Most likely, because it had already been a year after my last ban and on New Years I instantly skipped Honorable and went straight to Noble.

Although I did have Honorable previous to the ban.

Me too. I received my latest warning in December 2009, and today I got the Exalted prefix.

Nice.

Same for me, my exalted prefix was early as well.

You would probably be right.

I don't think PPD actually helps you get legendary/mythic any faster anyways lol

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

I think it's safe to say that whatever measures "activity" is broken, or the theory is wrong.

I go inactive for months at a time, but as soon as I start posting my title shoots up as if I were active the entire time.

For example, I came back a while after my ban (just a Member) posted a lot over a couple days and went up to Heroic.

Another example, I've been gone for months, but I started posting a couple days ago and I instantly went up to Legendary.

Here's another example, I just got my Noble prefix one year after being banned. The thing is the Noble prefix requires 2 years of activity, and I've been drastically inactive since Reach came out.

My conclusion is that there are two settings, active and inactive. If you haven't posted in a while you switch to inactive, but if you make one post you automatically switch back to active. If you meet the requirements for a new title or prefix you gain them when you hit active and lose them when you hit inactive.

The activity ranges Duardo has suggested are probably more accurate to time spent just being a member. At least that's what I think.

Yeah, maybe you guys are right, I should stop posting so much... I'll try and keep it under 10 for a couple of days, see what happens.

Yes, I'm pro at Action Sack.

I totally skipped Honorable and went straight to Noble.

He may have a point about the posts per day, if you go to Bungie.me, a lot of mythic members really don't have that high of a ppd. It is mostly your age on bnet that influences the title.

Why don't you just post when you feel like it? You shouldn't post purely for to increase your post count, but equally, you shouldn't stop posting for the sake of it.

If you really want Heroic, activity certainly does help. If activity meant nothing, I'd be far more than Heroic, considering I've never been warned/banned and the account is over six years old. The main reason you're still a member is almost certainly due to your warnings and bans, as your account is over two years old, it is linked to a gamertag and you've been very active. If you avoid any warnings or bans you'll be much more likely to see a title change.

Thanks!

Also, I think activity only helps to a certain extent, once you hit a certain level of activity, any more is just extra.

The overwhelming amount of my B.net life has been in private groups.
4 years officially yesterday.

I had been bouncing from Legendary to Mythic for around the past 5 months, and it appears that this time *crosses fingers* it stuck.
My ppd on the mains is slight, but private groups could be anywhere from 5-25 posts per day, depending on what's going on.

Yeah, if you posted for like 2 weeks consistently you'd have Mythic.

Aptly describes me. I only ever post here, maybe 5 times a week, and the rest are in The Flood. I'll make around 50 posts a day in private groups.

When it was linked (a few months ago) I was only Legendary, so I would not necessarily gain Mythic. However, since then I have been active almost every day, both in groups and in the mains, so you never know. At some point I may well try linking a silver account, to see what happens.

It is known that Intrepid and Fabled are not very far apart. According to users who attained Fabled after Intrepid say that it did not take very long. For how much that you post, you should get it rather soon.

Depends how much you post. But i'd say one to two months if you keep up how you're posting now.
