Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles / Prefixes / Bar Colors

Without me, it's just "Aweso".

It seems that the "Honorable" prefix only requires a lack of banning over the course of a month or two. A friend of mine logged in for the first time since making an account back in September, and he had obtained Honorable status.

Athough i was a heroic member and got banned but when i logged back in after my ban i was a honourable member?

  • 04.19.2009 6:31 AM PDT

Well I guess I better put some pants on.

I feel like I'm gonna break this thing!

My friend has made 7 posts ever, but he's been a member for over 3 years, and is a Noble Member.
He's never been banned, so maybe it's one step on from Honourable?

Maybe it's because of the 7 posts =P

A month or two? I've been a member since 11-17-08 and I've never been banned. So how can you say that it only takes a month or two? My suspension is a year.

If his friend made an account in September, then that account is around 7 or 8 months old. You say you've been here since November, so that's only 7 months, and pretty close to 6. Things seem to happen in months as far as the member titles go, so just give it a little more time and see what happens.

Mine changes every few days. I've never been banned an I've been here over a year. I float between Heroic Honorable Member and Honorable Member a lot recently and yet I post a few times each day.

I can't really find an explanation for why mine switches between the two. I've seen people that have been a member a few more months than me with bans that are Legendary members. yet I'm on the edge of Heroic and normal member.

Well, I wasn't saying that it wouldn't happen, but he was for some reason stating that it only took a month or two, so I set him straight.

No i meant how was that list worked out? How do they know which is higher? Because some of it seems wrong.
What seems wrong?

I believe that he was referring to the order and level of the prefixes. If I understood correctly, then he doesn't think that the prefixes are ordered how they should be.

Well first of all, i don't think i have seen more than one or two elder or senior members.

Senior - older; of higher or the highest standing
I have seen one or two senior members, but many Veteran members. If someone has a link to a senior member, can we check their join date compared to a Veteran member?

EDIT: i got a message from someone saying that to get Elder status you need to have been a member for 6 years or more. If this is true then the priorities in the OP are wrong.

Does absent mean you never post, or you haven't signed in a long time? Or has anyone figured it out?

I think it means you haven't posted in awhile, and don't logon much. If I remember correctly, I saw an absent member who has recently logged in, but hasn't posted in months.

It's all a big mystery. I don't care all that much about my title directly, but I just like trying to figure out what works which way, and why it does that. It's almost as mysterious as that sentence- I don't know where that came from :-P

  • 04.19.2009 11:43 AM PDT

As the below post said, an absent member is someone who doesn't log in or post much, if at all. Higher activity from the person with the "absent" prefix will revoke the prefix.

If Honorable Heroicness is for members who have gone a a year without a ban or warning, I should get it later today. I'll post later and if I don't then that theory is moot, but if I get it then that theory is again validated.

Trust doesn't seem to only be calculated daily, but also at the ends of each week as well. That has been a speculation for a while, but still hasn't been proven. (Although it certainly seems correct). If anything you'll reach 'Honorable" later this week after a few daily calculations. That's where I'm putting my money.

No, the prefixes are in a pretty intuitive order, in my opinion. Note that the prefixes at the top of the list in the OP are the least prioritized, while the ones at the bottom are the most.

Confirmed.

I figure that the one-year-honorable theory is correct.

Hmm, that's a neat little confirmation.

Do you happen to know what time you were promoted? Trust is calculated daily, but I don't think anyone knows around what time it all happens....
