Yes he is heroic, today I embark on a goal. A goal to become heroic before febuary and getting a PPC of 40. Yes 40. Find me in the flood.

Well, just remember that titles are just for fun. And there's a ton more too it than just posting a lot. Linking your gamertag, logging in daily, being active in one or more groups, possibly playing Halo, are all things that play a part. Consistency is the key. Stay out of trouble.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I'm lucky I didn't get banned or warned today. I said some pretty stupid things... Anywho, is this thread for discussion of how the titles work, or can it be the titles in general? I have a discussion topic, but I'm not sure if I should make another thread or not...
We all have our lucky days. A little while ago I went and yelled at some nitwits in the Reach forum... got lucky there.

Anyhow, I think anything title related would be ok for this thread, but I'm not sure. I'd bring it up with Duardo. Overall, I think the thread is meant for discussing how the titles work and such, but I dunno.
Well, basically I was thinking of a change to the title colors. You'd have the Bungie employees in yellow, the mods in salmon(orange), members in dark gray, and then heroic/legendary/mythic in blue. Or just all members in gray. It would lessen the "elitists'" egos, or some idea along that. I just wondered, since it is a title discussion if it should go in this thread.

I think they should leave text colors as they are.
All members in gray.

I mean, you can give yourself your own text color in Coup anyway.

No, it's purely post count, don't listen to Baller.

What? No it's not. You can't make a new account, then post a ton for one day and automatically expect Fabled or Intrepid just because you had the highest Post Count for that one day.

You need to have a High Post Count over an extended amount of time.

Please excuse the questions I ask in this thread. I really never payed attention to this stuff until now.

So, what's considered a 'high post count' that isn't spamming?

You're kidding, right?
So, I guess it does depend on length? It'll take a year to get 9,000 posts [if you're not messing with me].

Exactly. I had a PPD of around 10 when I got my Heroic title bar. I just logged on every day, linked my GT, joined groups, and posted, and I got Heroic a week before my one year anniversary. Overall it's just activity more then posting I think, because PPD dropped to about 5 or 4 and I got the Legendary title.

Well, spam is simply defined in the rules. If it doesn't really help discussion, its spam. Its not quantity, its quality.

Its not too tough to post a lot of stuff that's all relevant to discussion.
Just have to be here on for a while.

My guess for Intrepid is 10-15 PPD and for Fabled 15-20. But that's just a guess.

I don't think so. I think it's your posts over the course the time you have been on Bungie. I have a friend who recently got Intrepid but has been here for about 3 years and only has a PPD of .56.

I wouldn't say I post 15 - 20 times per day. I post maybe 10ish depending on what topics are up there.

I used to be Intrepid then I was promoted (or Demoted?) to Fabled.

Nope.

I got Fabled with a consistent 4 PPD, while when I received the Intrepid it was probably closer to 20 PPD. I am fairly certain Intrepid and Fabled just require a set number of posts (although there may be some acknowledgement of PPD merely to reduce abuse). I think people need to stop over analyzing and thinking PPD is a dominant factor in the title system. It probably has some input but many users with high trust titles don't post a great deal and often those that post a lot are low trust titles.

EDIT: This also explains why users are never 'demoted' from Fabled to Intrepid, because the criteria is a fixed value rather than a fluctuating percentage.

EDIT2: Anyways, I suggest we all go watch rubbish on television and try to cope with moaning grandparents instead of discussing this ;D
