Or maybe they are just too darn scared to face the flaming ninjas that are unleashed on any prey when they might least expect it...

Maybe they aren't as stupid as we first thought.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

I think that their just sucking up.

Some people don't like to be Moderated. So they complain. <so it is>. Part of the job of Mods is to be a cop. I always let cops do their cop thing. It can be a tough job and they should have some room to do it.

WHAT I DON"T LIKE about how the Mods run these Forums is . . >>>>

Far too many STICKY threads. They should be condensed into far fewer threads or under ONE sticky header. The Zanzibar forum, for example, looks more like a list of FAQs. They cover the entire page. I never like to scroll down a list of Mods opinions just to see if there are any new threads. It is usually problem of over control or disorganization among the staff.

But maybe that is just me.

They realized that but half those threads are from bungie employees that told them to keep them there. So the mods have no choice. There are 5 stickys that need to be there. Others can be tossed but there good threads. Like the cheaters thread. They cant take that down.

All the stickies have a use. None of them are about our opinions.

By the way, how many mods are there now? Last time I checked there were seven, but with the addition of Recon and Chris are there nine (or am I forgetting someone)?

Well I'm good friends with all of them, and even though Sigma isn't around that much anymore, they do a pretty good job of keeping things running as smoothly as they can.

"All the stickies have a use. None of them are about our opinions".

Of course they are all opinions. They are Mods/Management opinions of what is important and useful. And I do find them all interesting and helpful. I am just saying that there are so many of them that the public has to scroll down everytime that they want to see what the public thinks is important and useful.

I don't mind doing the extra work. I support the efforts here. I'm just giving a bit of feedback.

When it comes to b.net, that becomes fact, not opinion.

The moderators do a splendid job of keeping these forums in prim shape, and I commend them for that. However, there have been some very rare occasions, where I have seen a good thread discussion gone to waste all because a certain mod woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and decided to lock the first thread he saw past 300 posts. I wont point my finger too specifically.

  • 01.03.2005 7:29 PM PDT

It would've been locked because either the first post broke the rules or it turned into a flame war.

It didnt seem to be either, the thread was locked because bungie didnt confirm the evidence being discussed. But thats in the past, and I thank the mods all the same. I'll put up with one lost discussion for the sake of keeping all the other excellant threads, which wouldnt be possible if not for mods.
