This happens to me one in every 40 or so games. I'm guessing that when this happens, it starts right when you pull out your assault rifle. For me, it freezes the frame, and repeats the sound of that action. Do you experience it a while after starting play? For me it occurs after long hours of play - and you know what that means. Yep, a terrible cooling system.
Your problem could be the case position. If it is in anyway inside of a rack on your desk, or in a secluded area that is cramped and traps heat, you'll want to move it stat. Mine was in a little cabinet, and the temperature got up to 80+ degrees outside of the case (which is way too hot). Take a look inside of your pc. First check for how many fans you have - 2 is usually good, one in front and one in back or on the side. Then check the airflow. Normal hard drives (ATA's) have large cables that constrict airflow, and so do most dvd drives. Move those cables to the sides of your case. If there is a tunnel/channel to run your cables through, go ahead and do that. A wide open case is a happy case :)
Is there a PCI card right below your all-in-wonder? By putting the PCI cards near the bottom, far away from your AGP slot, the airflow around your graphics card will increase, keeping it cool and preventing overheating. This was another one of my problems. See, not only was I overclocking my 9600XT, but I had the case in a constricted area, my computer manufacturer (Sony), decided to make the case relatively small and cramped, and it was in a cabinet.
Are you overclocking anything? Stop that and see if it helps.
In the end, you could find a way to add another fan, although it depends on your case.
