I have to tell you something, so whether you're going to listen or not is up to you.
I've had Vista since March, 2 months since its release. The only problems I find with it are the following. 1 is compatibility, 2 is UAC (which is good and bad) for those who dont know what it is (User Account Control).
The compatibility problem was that it didn't work with my old CA anti-virus, so I got norton instead.
The UAC problem is that now everytime I install a program, I have to right-click and go to "run-as-administrator"
That's it. Vista is fine. No bugs I see, besides the fact that Splinter Cell Chaos Theory doesn't work because StarWars-whatever-the-hell-it-is-safedisc-security is incompatible. Then again, no buddy likes Starforce, so it doesn't matter anymore, no one is using it.
The problem is not the operating system, the problem is that you need to reinstall. That's it. I don't think there are any updates, and if there are, don't downlaod them, just play anyway.
DONT switch to Apple. Well, I guess you could, I wouldn't stop you. But you have to realize that if you switch to Apple, you are going to get a really screwed up version of Vista. That's what Leopard is. Same bugs, same viruses. However, NOTHING WILL BE COMPATIBLE!!! No good games. Everytime I watch these Apple ads, I laugh. I laugh because there are people who actually believe that Apple is better. If you think so, go ahead. If you find it to be better, good for you.
Anyway, I kinda strayed from the subject. Just reinstall, doing the right-click admin thing and everything should be fine. :) If not, try to post some more details if you can.
