It is unconfirmed whether blood gulch may be back in halo 2 or not but lets face it, compared with zanzibar, blood gulch sucks...no offence...Ok, heres where I get to the point. What would you put into blood gulch to make it suit the maps of halo 2 more..

Im thinking interactive sections, maybe extra areas, destructible objects, where abouts the fusion cores will go, and more importantly, where will that special energy sword stand? Please contribute your ideas of possible inclusions for a new take on Blood Gulch.

Oh and I'll add a poll incase you cant be bothered to type... But if you have any cool ideas your bursting with, please let them spew out into a mixture of innovatve ideas.

Actually, Blood Gultch is confirmed for Halo 2. And possibly two other maps yet to be revealed that was in Halo 1. Although it's going to be remade bigger to compensate for Halo 2's larger battles.

i think blood gulch should return in halo 2 with little added apart from maybe an underground cave that leads the bottom of the base into the caves at the side.

Blood gulch should be in, but I would like Boarding Action and Sidewinder more. Of course they would all have to be more interactive. And remodeled.

-Energy Sword could be inside the cave.
-Switch that could open/close the open hole on the bases
-Something with the teleporters
-Destructable bases

Good good!, I was thinking bigger bases maybe, have sniping towers and banshee run-ways think "facing worlds" level from unreal tourney but in blood gulch instead. The enrgy sword should be right in the middle on a platform and you have to shoot the side panel that knocks down the ramp leading to the platform and the sword. This area could obviously be sniped easily and theres two teleporters on the platform, one that leads near the blue base and the other to near the red base....

Why would you guys want Blodd Gulch. Wouldnt you guys be playing the Halo 2 Maps?
I meant its good but the others ones will be way better (no offense). But if if they are going to put the Blood Gulch in they add all the Halo 1 maps or at least just Blood Gulch Side Winder Baording Action and Hang'em High. Or thy can put one Section for Halo 1 maps and 1 for Halo 2. (and still have all the reworkings)

I dont think halo2 will have all the maps (hell it might not even have any) but the point of this thread is to see what people would ADD to blood gulch in order to make it better for halo2

Can anyone think of an ideal place for the fusion cores to go? maybe in the key sniping areas to temporarily prevent sniping maybe? Or surrounding the entrance to the bases so you can destroy a flag carrier?

I would say start the fusion cores off on top of the bases. You can always roll them around to strategic places anyway. Also, maybe add a couple of places so that you don't always know where the person is cause you've memorized the original BG. Maybe make some sort of tower thing right in the middle of the canyon with a big elevator in it (almost like the elevators in AotCR) and the sword is up at the top. The top of the tower would of course be wide open to sniper attack and would have no walls, so if you're an idiot and fall off then you basically just went up there to drop the sword down to a friend. An underground tunnel from one base out to the middle of the field (the tunnels of each base go to opposite sides, like the teleporters). I would switch the sides for the underground tunnles though. Like put the tunnel going out of red base lead to the blue teleporter, or close to it, and the tunnel leading out of the blue base lead to the red teleporter. Also, maybe just make it way bigger since there are going to be massive amounts of vehicles.

If there was a covenant side and a human side you could have some sort of covenant fuel cells as well as fusion cores.
The bases would need destructable parts, I really like the idea of a sniping tower although i favour very unobvious sniping points.

Maby bungie could create a bit of a story round blood gulch explaining why the level is bigger, how about: The covenant have moved in to look for Forerunner artifacts inside Halo, they have converted one end of the canyon into a base camp and have made a serese of tunnels in the area. The spartans have to go in and destroy the camp (sabotage mode anyone?) or you could just have a huge battle on the map.

Keep the standard map layout, but expand the map about a quarter more than the original size to make better use of other types of vehicles. In the middlt of the plains, but a river similar to the ones found on the Halo level in the original game. This will add some difficulty to going across to the other side. There would be a single bridge in the middle for people and vehicles to get across, but it would be narrow so that the Scorpion or Halo 2 equivelent couldnt cross. The Scorpion would then have to be used as an artillary piece rather than an attack vehicle.

Another thing to add, is to make and underground part to each base. This sub-level would lead to a system of underground tunnels that can take you to different parts of the map, but the entrance into the bases from undreground is only one way. Once you go into the tunnels from the bases, you either have to have someone open it from the other side, or go in through the top.

I would also make the option of changing the time of day you play in. You can either have the game during the day, or you can have it in the middle of the night. The night games would bring another element to palying, since you can spot someone dumb enough to use there flashlight all the time. The day/night could be toggled in the start menu for MP. This menu would also have the option of what kind of weather you would play in. The different weather types would be rain, snow, heavy wind with dust kick up, slight fog, and heavy fog which would cause players to only see anything within a 15 foot diameter.
