i think that it would be cool because at night it gives the snipers like me more of a chance to sneak around and take poeple out without being noticed

i think it would be cool to pick the time of day for multiplayer but you could also use the xbox's real time functions so it corresponds to the real time of day and changes as the hours go by. how realistic and cool would that be? though, of course, as an option

I don't think it could be accomplished because players on Xbox Live come from different time zones.

like you said, wheather would be a cool option too, especially monsoon rainfall to limit visability, and it washes down your visor

Levels at night would rock, it would add so much, You could be stealthy, you would have to use your flashlight. You could have lamps in the levels to light up some spots. You could spot shooters more easily from their musle flash. This is a great idea, because its like 2 levels in one.

that would so rock! playing a multiplayer at night! just think of the many more strategy elements that could be added to the gameplay! you would have to decide weather or not to use your lights when traversing through the woods or other environs. you would have to decide weather to shoot lights out or not, if it would be a plus for your plan or not. you could have some guys out with lights on to serve as a decoy.... or not! snipers would have to work harder to find a target, and would get to use their night vision- but, how much deadlier would they be when they found a group of targets weaving their way through trees and boulders in the darkness? fog, rain, snow... those would rock, too. i like to think that night and adverse weather will be a part of both campaign and multiplayer.

It'd be great for the different colors and camoflauge... so people would have better chances to sneak around and be stealthy, and it would save active camo characters a lot of pain, as they would be harder to see.

i am all for this idea, what more fun than getting to use your flashlight or nightvision scope to kill ppl. and the stratigys could be insane you could have every one dim there lights have a sniper telling you what to whatch out for and sneek in to an enemy base, catch them off guard and blow the -blam!- out of them wile taking the flag. that would be beutiful..

It would be so easy to camp though, you could stand a longgggggggg ways away with any kind of weapon and just shoot towards the light while they can't see you cause your flashlight is off, this would get stupid for people against snipers to cause you walk, and your dead, walk and your dead, walk and your dead, and so on and on. I like the idea, but because of this I don't believe it will happen.

thats just it thats not realy camping thats a ligit stratigy to shoot at somone with there light on. at night it would even be harder for snipers to see becuase of the limited view range in zoom. i just think that in night you have to change your tactics its more about stealth and surprise, rather than blunt confrentation.

That would be so awesome. Sneak around in BG(if its in halo 2) at night would be awesome. Using a warthog wouldn't be such a -blam!- to use either. It would also be a good reason to actually have to use the flashlight in multiplayer, unlike halo 1. It would be better for snipers. If you hear a sniper shoot, people would be freakin out, and runnin for cover so they don't get shot. That would be awesome. I'll say it again, it would be awesome.

That would be great! I've seen posts like this before, and I've always agreed with that. Replay value would go up much more! Imagine being in Blood Gulch in the dark. All you can see is the outline of the enemy base and what your flashlight can show. It make things much harder. If you have no radar on, you could sneak to eachothers base! I don't think lag would really be bad. If anything, it's like having a whole new map!

replying to verycoldice. Remember, he'll also have a hard time finding you. Unless of course he has a sniper with nightvision. You'll be able to hear where he is and see the flash from the gun. By the time he finds you in the dark, you'll be right up next to him! Besides, the night time effect would be optional. If you don't like it, don't use it!

To whoever started this poll: What is the point of posting two options for the same answer. I know it must seem strange, but it is OK to have a poll with just two choices.
