This is the only site ive found that has issues with firefox. What is this site made of anyway? Flash?

Active Server Pages or something. ASP. Frontpage. Tru7h. Carnage. Bungie.

Its not just scrolling, the site navigator menu goes sooo slow its faster to try and figure out the sub addresses of each forum.

The problem is that youre using Firefox. This site doesnt support the Firefox browser (which sucks). Pretty much if you want to view bungie.net without lag youll have to use IE (as I must do...which again sucks).
Also, I thought Id just throw in my 2 cents about Firefox vs IE:
IE is a HUGE security risk, mainly because MS takes roughly 6 months to address security issues. Also, IE is fused directly into the windows OS, which means its a great way to hack into a computer. As for Firefox it is much safer than IE (less holes and actully gets updated more than once every 3 years) but what draws most people is the fact that it supports a myriad of plugins (which can do anything from logging you in on a site using a volunteer's account to giving you previews of google webpage searches before you open up the link). Also, firefox allows ad blocking (automatically blocks pop-ups and you can download a plugin that allows you to block banners and the such).

Another great feature is that in fireofox, you cna right click any aimage and chosoe to block all images form the site is was hosted on. SO you can block out the ads in your mail account, or block a picture of something gross you wont want to see agan (tub girl anyone)

Wow tub girl as one word- -blam!- is censored. Thats how bad it is

Internet Explorer has too many security holes, and it is to susceptible to spyware. Also it doesnt have tabbed browsing.

After switching to firefox, and using these free programs-
SpyBot S&D
SpywareBlaster
SpywareStopper

I have not had any spyware in the past 3 months.
I regularily visit -blam!- websites, and browse through many random websites that definitley would give IE spyware.

Firefox is gaining market share very quickly, if Bungie chooses to block them out it is their loss.

Use Netcaptor, it has no security holes, you can see color, and it has tabs.

boo never use netscape! never talk good about it on a microsoft website! blasphamy! i have mozilla, and i tried smooth scrolling....gasp, im still recovering, it was uber laggy. ill try IE on this site.

some real lag happens occasionally, and once the site actually went down with a service unavaliable message-black on white screen. i think thats cuz members like us post like crazy and the server went and took a vacation.
damn i hate it when it gets all laggy like, thenagain i cant complain-bungie doesnt have to have a website....

Learn how to read. It is Netcaptor not netscape. Geez....

Im using FireFox 1.0

If there is a compatibility problem shame on Bungie. I bet Microsoft forced them to do it.

I tried the bungie site with MICROSOFT Internet Explorer, and it works as smooth as butter.

hehe...you're probably on to something there ;)

Lesson here: Internet Explorer is better.

Wise words.

I wish... my connection sucks, it's probably the slowest ever made, or screwed up.

It's true, bungie's site is considerally slow and I have a good browser. They should fix their browser, period.

1. NetZero High Speed is in no way high speed. It's still 56k.
2. I can't really comment on Earthlink's DSL having never used it, but the problem isn't with his connection. It's a bug with Firefox.

Its not a bug with firefox, firefox's programming is more efficient than IE. Websites have to make sure their websites are compatible with major browsers.

This site runs ASP.NET on IIS 6 as its backend, but more importantly, uses lots of complex CSS to display its views (not tables, for the most part). It was primarily designed for Safari and IE6. Firefox was tested, but Firefox has bugs in certain issues that if we fixed would break IE and Safari. Newer versions of Firefox have had less problems, but some are still there.

And nobody tells us what browsers to support. We can do that ourselves just by looking at the logs. This MS conspiracy BS is getting old, guys.

On my Athlon XP 3200+ comp I get almost no lag with firefox, but I worry for those on old comps.

P.S. Achronos, your pic scares me.
