Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

It's just lag. No matter what you do on the internet, there will always be lag.

I have seen this alot lately and I was woundering if anyone else has seen or heard of this and what could possably be causing this? There is also another issue that I have noticed with frag grenades not exploding, ot is happining more amd more often as time goes on.

Usually it's just lag, but i've seen spike grenades not exploding when latched on to a Ghost, and many other people have seen that to.

KOTOR

It happens a lot of lag. It is the exact same reason why some people could roll out of torquebow sticks and grenade tags on Gears of War.

I saw a guy get a plasma nade stuck on his sholder, he steped into a bubble shield...got lucky and the nade was just outside the bubble(rest of his body was in it) when it blew up saving him somehow.

I'm not so concerned with plasma grenades falling off of people as I am plasma grenades going directly through people. I've gone back to the theater and watched grenades literally go through people's chests and heads. At one point in the clips the plasma is inside the player's body.

You mean even if it's a good connection it'd still be lag? I have to friends who live close to me, I usually invite to some custom games to play. On many occasions I'd stick them with a plasma grenade and it doesn't even kill him, I don't even see it explode properly.

I'm always unfortunate enough to have it happen when an opponent is rushing me with a sword.

I was playing swords in lone wolf on The Pit and some guy runs towards me. I stick him and think "I've won this" but nope, grenade doesn't explode and I die.

I have definetley been seeing this alot, ever since the update 2 weeks ago.

It seems like plasmas just dissapeare off of their bodies, and never explode, so you dont get the kill, its pretty weird

Lag. A Gamer's worst enemy.

I wonder if there is a Teabaging Medal?

If there were, it would be called "TESTOCULAR!"

A sticky went through me once, and I stuck the guy who "stuck" me.

I felt so bad for getting that kill.

Halo 3 multiplayer is frustrating.

Lag. The excuse for every problem in Halo 3. I know in Halo 2 when I stuck someone, they died. Halo 3 is an iconsistent mess of a game.

"Inveniam Viam Aut Facium" _~

if ( !now ){ when(); }

I have seen it where a plasma nade stuck to a weapon, and the foe, dropped the weapon, and escaped death.

It can't be just lag ive had it happen when my buddies come over on the same tv when we arnt on xbox live. Its so frustrating.

  • 12.26.2007 4:38 PM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

as far as grenades not registering/not exploding i would chalk that up to lag to some degree. the issue with plasmas falling off of their target is a whole other thing i think. i mean i've thrown plasmas at a persons chest only to see it bounce off and explode on the ground. that crap is just irritating.

Even when you're playing with friends living so close to you it'd be lag?

Nest time this happens tell your friend to save the movie and go over to his house and watch it from his Xbox, you migh notice some differences as to were the plasma went.

Lag or the whole Halo 1 effect applies for Halo 3, which is..

1. Get stuck
2. Instantly melee or bash a wall/melee at the time getting stuck
3. Sticky comes off.

so far Melee problems, shotgun problems, sticky grenade problems, battle rifel problems ... pretty much every problem that has been found in halo3 has been blamed on lag :(. i say they fix the lag. if at all possible.

The info goes to the host. If everyone in the game were your neighbors, the lag would be minimal, mostly based on what type of connection they have. The game tries to pick who has the best connection to everybody. Just because 2 people would have a great connection with each other doesn't mean that would make it fair for everyone else. So the game picks someone who might have a worse connection than 2 people, but better for everybody.

Saying to fix "the lag problem" is like telling your government to "fix the problem of having to fill our cars with gas". It's not the game's fault it lags. Nor is it Bungie's. Lag will always be there.
