Why are people always claiming that this or that will be "The Halo Killer"?
Why can't people play Gears, CoD and Halo? Is it such blasphemy?

I might be going crazy, but since when have video-game franchises become religion? FOLLOW OR BE SHUNNED!

I think they became religion back in the mario vs. sonic days.

I got bored with Halo after getting all 1000 GS, and then all the custom maps got repetitive, matchmaking got ruined by 1 or 2 (if not more) 10 year olds screaming racist stuff or random cusswords for no reason into the mic (Not only 10 year olds though, their voice is just extremely annoying).
CoD4 is funner from what I've played so far, but halo was an awesome game for a bit, but not for long, IMO.
I actually traded in halo at gamestop yesterday, but I still come to the forums cuz' the flood is awesome.

To the people who responded to my posts that I didn't answer yet:

It's obvious that Bungie has done alot to minimize the chances of one individual player doing too much better than other players in the game. Slow combat, slow animations, slow player acceleration and speed, forced movement map design, weak(er) weapons, inaccurate weapons, inconsistent weapon respawns, inconsistent player respawns.. I could go on forever. The point is, these design choices are intended to appeal to the casual crowd. This makes Bungie money. However, they make this money at the expense of the people who like to take Halo seriously, as explained in the link in my sig.

Halo 3 is not a bad game. I have no doubt in my mind that there are long-time Bungie fans who are happy with what Bungie has been creating all these years. But there are plenty of people who dislike what Bungie's done even more. If you haven't realized that fans have been complaining about Bungie making Halo take "no skill" since the day Halo 2 was released, you really need to open your eyes man. We're a minority because Bungie raked in countless casuals, but our opinions and our reasons to be upset hold merit and logic nonetheless. If that wasn't the truth, than we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
