To be honest it doesn't really bother me. But when people are putting across arguments or theories for example and they use bad grammar and spelling I find that irritating. Not only because it makes it harder to see what he is trying to say but because if you have the time to come up with a well thought out idea then you should present it in a way that is clear and comprehensible.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Some might say that but some might say it was more of a deliberate leaving out of the letter x so as to confuse people.

But in all honesty, yes I did misspell my name but I wasn't trying to put across a theory or argument =D

mah brayne aint uzd 2 reddin dis, soz it tak meh longa to rpli 2 thrds.

I however, only use incorrect grammar and spelling if I'm doing it sarcastically. (See the above sentence for reference)
I mean, isn't it actually easier to just do it right? Then everyone understands you and your point of views are not tainted by the fact that you type like a 2 year old.

Buying a completely different computer for the sole reason of getting a spell checker is not exactly a feasible -- or economically efficient -- solution. It's better to simply type carefully and be sure to check words you're not sure of as you go. One possible solution is to type your posts in MS Word first and then let it run the automatic spell checker before cutting-and-pasting over to BNet. That really only takes an extra 5 seconds for the cut-and-paste.

Then again, it doesn't bother most people, so perhaps even that is a bit of a waste of time, unless you want to be sure that your post is perfect (which is also fine).
