i was recently looking around a website and came across a small survey. i was on a little thing where you rate somthing as "important" on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the least), and i saw a question that said something to the effect of "it is important that the next console you buy have the ability to wirelessly connect to your TV?". i'm wondering if this is indirectly confirming that one or more of the next-gen consoles will have the option to wirelessly connect to yout TV.

i would link the survey, but unfortunately, its only available to those who buy MechAssault 2.

i might be missing something, but i don't think any consoles right now have the ability to do that.

That would be a good thing if they were wireless. I have a ball of wires behind my TV the size of a house cat. If they made wireless systems then my mass of wires wouldn't get any bigger.

Wireless connectivity to the TV doesn't seem that useful, considering that most people's consoles sit in an entertainment center or less than five feet away from the TV.

notice the word option.

i'm not saying its the most phenominal thing to ever happen, but it could be useful for cleaning up random cords everywhere. i mean, it IS one less cord to worry about. plus, it makes it easier to take the console places.

i'm going to assume that you still have the cord to power the console and the AV cords and all that, but you can buy some little box that replaces the AV cords. i still can't think of any reliable way to get rid of the power cord. that would take a serious amount of batteries.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

If the consols(sp?) had the ability to be wireless.....my dad would be all over that. (he's kind of a high-tech guy).

i'm all for it. it would be a good idea, especially if it was an optional thing. bring on the new age of wireless gaming! oo-rah!

The reason I don't like it is cause it would be a bit more expensive and I dont have a lot of cables in my room. I can see where other people would go for it, especially if they do have a huge tangeled mess of cords. Hell, why not make it. There would be plenty of people that would buy it. I just wouldn't be one of them.

A wireless console would be a little bit of help with all the damn wires I have hooked up. But, it wouldn't be something that I would pay a whole bunch of money to use, and then the picture ends up looking like ass.

As for the survey, a strange thing happened when I went to the Xbox site. After I logged in, they ask if you can take a survey about Xbox Live. I know it's actually for Xenon (Xbox 2), and they were talking about downloading movies, music and a whole bunch of other crap. They even asked how much I was willing to pay, and by the looks of things, Xenon Live is gonna be a fortune.
